Raised as a Buddhist.
Never really got too into it. I still follow some teachings though. Wouldn't say I'm a religious person at all.

Goals Wrote:What's the difference between atheism and no religion? Atheism ascribes to a god not existing which is a belief itself. No religion is simply that - no religion, apathy. Just like the absence of hot is cold but cold still contains heat, the absence of god is atheism but atheism is still a belief.

Atheist, raised Christian.
I don't understand people who distance themselves from Atheism and say, "Oh, nobody knows." Nobody can disprove with absolutely certainty the existence of invisible pink unicorns. I don't know about you, but I don't tell people I'm "unsure" about whether invisible pink unicorns exist.

I was raised Jewish and Christian. But I chose No religion only because I can't really choose 1 or the other.

ImagineAll, can we please not go down that road? I'm already biting my tongue on a few people here.

There are two overwhelming things that start fighting in our humanity; politics and religion. You can't prove which is correct. It's all a matter on what you personally believe.

Atheism
I got asked earlier today why not just be religious and find out your wrong when you die. I look at religion as not what happens after death but how you treat it during life. Frankly when I die I just want to disappear. I don't care for the whole concept of a church either. All I see out of religion is closed minded people who are willing to start a war over being right.
