Very complex question involving PDRate and damage caps post-BB.

First off, we should know by now PDRate decreases damage by a percentage. Meaning a monster with a PDRate of 40% will reduce damage by 40%.

The damage cap is at 999,999, so if a person were fighting Pink Bean, who has a PDRate of 70, should I assume the damage will be reduced to 299,999?

What if the person had the potential to deal 1.5mil damage? Obviously with one hit, a person cannot deal 1.5mil damage, so they will deal 999,999 instead. The question is, with a PDRate of 70%, will 70% damage be reduced from the 1.5mil (resulting in 450k damage) damage or the 999,999 damage (which will result in about 300k damage)?

If it were to reduce it to 300k damage, would a critical be able to make the attack exceed 300k damage?

Thanks for your time.

The damage cap is applied to the final result, just as it has always been. Defense shouldn't matter.
