Attention Maple World inhabitants!

The appearance of giant alien spaceships hovering over the major towns of Maple World and the deployment of alien troops have necessitated that the formerly secret OSSS reveal itself in an attempt to bring this long-anticipated threat to Maple World to an end.

The OSSS is now holding open enrollment for any Maple World residents who wish to help push back the tide of alien devastation. If you would like to help, see Dr. Bing, OSSS head, on August 18 to begin your induction process and the multi-stage plan to reclaim Maple World from the Visitors!

This plan will unfold in multiple real-time stages.

Schedule:

Note: Even when the next stage opens, contents from previous stages will be available.

Stage 1:
Recruits will be run through the OSSS initiation by Dr. Bing, the head of the organization. To defeat the aliens, we will need to recover an energy source that can only be found in the future. You must seek out the parts necessary to build a time machine!

[SIZE=2]Stage 2:
Report back here for more information next week.

Stage 3:
Report back here for more information.

Stage 3:
Report back here for more information.

Remember, much like saving the world, clearing each stage is a Maple World-wide group effort. Team work is the key to victory. And of course the great minds of OSSS wouldn’t send you out to battle the fearsome invaders without the proper gear. You will be provided with standard issue Bing Suit that you can customize.

How far did people in Tespia get? I don't remember anyone getting past stage 2/3?

Also, they put stage 3 twice, just saying. Even though it's obvious the second one should be stage 4.

No one got past stage 3. Stage 3 was the destruction of the Aliens. Stage 4 must be the "clean"up or something.

So lets see here..

Stage1- Lasts for 1 week
Stage2- Lasts for 2 weeks and 1 day
Stage 3- Lasts for 2 weeks and 1 day
Stage 4- Lasts for 1 week.

Total time until next patch=6 weeks and 2 days meaning..The next patch will be on September 22nd.

This. Good lord Tongue

I'm just glad we essentially have 6 weeks to partake in the entire thing. Definitely helps for everyone going back to school.

Well, with 4 stages, i might be right about the weapons and other equips "ugrading" with each successive "stage" completed and partaken in. We will have to see though, once they fix that dam link.

I think it has more to do with the PQ in Stage 3. 3 Different levels of play with different limits on them sounds fishy, but speculation is speculation nonetheless.

Meh, seems like I'll be losing the first parts of this event (I'll probably only be able to play again on september), I hope that it won't make me lose the chance to get untradeable permanent stuff.

Or I'll just hope those items are all time limited.

Perfect! Just in time for school to start! An event we'll likely need to be online everyday for!

....

Did you not...oh I don't know...read the colorful table in the OP? You have, essentially, 6 weeks to complete the entire event. People completed Stages 1 and 2 in a matter of hours in Tespia, so there's nothing to worry about here.

It also kind of says,

Just want more information on the equipment already though... silly 404's.

Trust me the quests are so easy enough that by the time the game opens from the patch you'll be done.

I say that all Nexon notices should end with this saying ^_^ But on topic:This is the most exciting event I've seen on Maple in a long time. Many of the events this year have been fairly predictable and revolved around holidays or anniversaries in Maple, so I'm just happy to see something that is completely new to us GMS players(yes I know it's a rip off ThaiMS, but I don't care). Just my two cents.

I second this, most of us went up to Stage 2-3 in less than a day on unfunded newbie characters. I have no clue how hard the PQ stages will be, though... probably not hard at all for higher levels.

We still don't know if it's a "rip off" it might have been a joint thing. But one thing is for sure at least, GMS at least expanded on the idea with their own ideas kind of making it theirs no matter what people say.
