Hello Southperrians!
I was wondering if Hurricane's speed did actually get doubled in the Big Bang? I remember seeing a few threads about it in the Bowman section of the Training Center, but they have all disappeared.
Thanks in advance!!

No, but Final Attack and I think another skill attacks along-side Hurricane, which kind of gives it the appearance of being sped up.

Same speed, but final attack works with it now with no additional delay.

Are you both sure? Because http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1658410...PPMR.html# says that it is 60ms second?

Not 100% on this, but aren't firing delays completely different to attack speeds, :f6:.

Correct. Booster does not affect the firing delay between each arrow, but it does increase the speed of the strafe animation for the character.

I dont understand that. So whats the point of booster then if you fire the same amount of shots in the same amount of time with or without booster? Unless "strafe's animation" is longer than the firing delay, so an increas in the animation speed makes one fire more arrows in a set time?
So basically you are saying that all booster does is increase the animation speed of skills and not the skills itself? This in turn makes it feel like our skills are faster, but in reality the firing delay of skills have a hard coded "maximum" speed that is unchanged and can only be reached under certain circumstances?

You are confusing character delay and arrow delay. Arrow delay shows the lag between each arrow firing. This does not change regardless of the level of booster. The speed at which the character moves through the strafe animation does change due to booster. Because the animation finishes quicker, you can move on to other attacks or even another strafe faster. But regardless of what happens, the delay between each arrow of strafe being fired is the same.

I still dont get it then. If I hold down my attack button and whether I have maxed booster+SI+faster weapon or just strafe with a normal weapon, the time between each arow both = 60ms? So in effect I am firing the same amount of shots per minute?

No you're not. You are using the skill strafe more times per minute because the character animation goes faster. This leads to more shots per minute.
If you are still confused after this post, I'm going to have to ask for someone else to explain it because I'm not being effective here.

Booster effects the time between skills. The time the skill takes to animate stays the same no matter what. That's all it means. O_o

That means I was correct when I said this. "So basically you are saying that all booster does is increase the animation speed of skills and not the skills itself? This in turn makes it feel like our skills are faster, but in reality the firing delay of skills have a hard coded "maximum" speed that is unchanged and can only be reached under certain circumstances?"
All Fiel did is confuse us unnecessarily by bringing up "firing delay" when it has nothing to do with actually "firing" our weapons but is in fact about the time it takes for the skill to animate from the time it leaves our weapon to when it hits the target.

Well, no... There's a character animation that's affected, like Fiel said before. The time it takes for a character to perform one animation is completely differen than what it takes for the skill to animate. Both are separate animations working toward the same goal. Booster affects one, but the other stays the same.

Can you show with an animation the diference between these then, maybe that will make it clear for me.
Wild Hunter Hurricane = 60
Bowmaster Hurricane = 120

Lemme try again. Here are the arrows for strafe:
Code: <-
<---
<-----
<-------
|--|--|--|
|--| = 60ms
The difference between each arrow being fired is always 60ms regardless of booster level. So that's 240ms that it takes for all of the strafe arrows to appear on your screen.
Then there is YOU. You are the character performing the strafe attack. Before booster you would do this attack in, let's say, 1 second. However, after booster you perform this attack in 800ms. So instead of doing 60 strafes per minute, you can now do 72 strafes per minute. The difference between each arrow being fired is always 60ms before and after booster, but you will fire more arrows per minute with booster because you can do more strafes per minute.

I get it now. I think.
Does that mean Wild Hunter's Hurricane fires twice as many arrows as a Bowmaster, if everything else is equal? Or do the arrows just appear faster while the character cant fire them fast enough as the character animation wont alow them to.
