Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game
#1
All I can say is....

Fucking epic.

I haven't read the comics, or seen the movie, but I went over to a friend's house yesterday and played it, and it was amazing. A true throwback to my childhood, playing River City Ransom and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes side scrolling beat-em-up's.

Anyone else had a chance to play it yet?

It's the best game ever. Anyone who has a PS3, go get it now. Anyone who has an XBox 360, pineapple you and stop waiting; go buy a PS3 just to buy this game. Anyone who doesn't have either one; go buy a PS3.

I love this game to death.

WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE GETTING THE ANIMATIONS FROM?!!?

Xbox players should get it in 10 days, if I remember correctly.

Oh. I read that as "You won't get it on 360, stop waiting for good games and buy a PS3", lol. Sorry.

Funny how you'll all play this Hipster garbage, but disregard a superior side scrolling beat-em up called DFO.

Just sayin'.

Is that all you came in here to say? Tongue Waste of breath, friend. Maybe I don't want to dump NX into more of nexon's shitty games.

PS3/XBLA only.

Mark, this is more retro than DFO, which is what makes this game awesome.
Don't care how hipster it is.

This looks better than anything I saw watching and playing DFO.
Sorry.

Also you forgot to mention that DFO takes itself too seriously, and it seems hackneyed. I like games that are more playful.

Who said anything about NX? You don't need NX to enjoy DFO.

I'm sorry you feel this way though.

You didn't need NX for MS at first, either. It's gotten worse and worse as Nexon keeps testing the waters. It will be the same for ALL of their games, and I'd rather not get addicted to another Nexon game and end up needing NX somewhere down the line.

I know this is the casual era of gaming, but you owe it to yourself to play a real game for once.

Everyone has opinions, but some can be wrong.

Actually, Mark makes bit of a point about not needing NX. Plus it's doubtful that DFO will become like MapleStory since MapleStory is a cash cow. It's the same way for KMS, MapleStory brings in all the profits, and all the other Nexon Korea games hardly need any NX to play.

Why would it stay that way, though? Surely it's not profitable for them to run a game where no-one buys NX enhancements.

Most of the high-level MS community offsets at least a small percentage of their NX use by selling items/services to other players, anyway. DFO's cost is much lower than MS and can be played entirely "for free" even without being insanely time consuming. I wouldn't say DFO is the best side-scrolling beat-em-up ever, though. The controls are a bit awkward and the artwork is pretty terrible.

^It is profitable for them to run the game. There is some incentive to use NX, and having more people visit their site = more people that could potentially throw money into MapleStory.
