50 movies you should see by the age 14

I'm so glad Spirited Away not only made the list, but the Top 10 and was the most-voted upon film by the institute.

Yeah goddamn. I read that and i was just like WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT LOL.

I'm 18 years old, and I've seen 22 of those movies. @_@

And usually I'M the movie deprived person....

I've seen 4 of the Top Ten, and I recall seeing at least 12 of those movies.

I'm 15, but I very rarely watch movies at all. And from that list I've seen:

ET
Spirited Away
Toy Story
Wizard of Oz
Beauty and the Beast (Disney animated version)
Finding Nemo
The Princess Bride (several times; it was like the default movie we watched in middle school when there was nothing to do)
Romeo + Juliet (well, almost- we watched it this year in school and didn't get to the ending before summer began)
Star Wars Episode IV

Almost all of those I saw when I was younger, though.

Reread. It's "by the age 14", not "before you die", which explains why most (if not all; I haven't checked to be sure) of the movies are PG or lower.

17 in less than a month. I've seen like 7 of those, but I know the stories and have seen different "versions" of more than that. So yeah.

Hm. Nearly 30 and I've only seen 26 of them. And strongly disagree with several of them even being on there.

Seen 12 at 21, though I've read about/discussed nearly the entire list.

What's so thought provoking about Star Wars? Terminator series is a much better man vs machine concept.

Agreed. There are far better movies kids should watch. Like where the hell is Marry Poppins on that list? Or Pipi Longstockings?

17 Movies and im 21.

Only 6 for me and I turn 20 later this month...over half of those really....shouldn't be on that list.

Is it sad that I've seen neither Beauty and the Beast (either of them) nor ET? The proverbial rock I live under must be strong.

1,2,3 were the more recent ones

I would put any of the 4,5,6 ahead of the 1,2,3

I'm 24 and I've seen 15 of them.
Some Like It Hot being on there was interesting to me.

Gonna look into Spirited Away considering how vocal people have been about it.
