Though it shouldn't be too big of a difference except for apples. % weapon attack is also unaffected by stars and bullets, so any classes gaining additional WATK from similar items don't get an additional boost from the potential bonus. In the end, % total damage is essentially always better as it slaps a nice multiplier on to the end of the damage formula for whatever skill you're using, and doesn't fluctuate when you lose or gain WATK/MATK, and of course still helps the same when using buff pots. EDIT: So in my opinion, the best possible weapon stats for anyone looking to boss would be: +9% Total Damage +9% Total Damage +30% Damage when attacking a boss Note that additional bossing damage bonuses do not stack with one another, so with this kind of weapon giving an additional 1.48x multiplier at bosses, it's the best of the best.

Which is better? 9% primary stat or 9% total damage?
I'm guessing total damage is, but can anyone estimate how much better? Also L> confirmation that the chance for potential items to show 2 stats is 75% and 3 stats is 25%. I heard this from a friend. Anyone know for sure?

% total damage is better. % primary stat doesn't multiply the part of the formula of your secondary stat so it's slightly worse.
% total damage = % all stat

Shidoshi Wrote:% total damage = % all stat ? If % total dmg =/= % attack, % main stat, or % secondary stat, then % total dmg =/= % all stat.

% to all stats is also smaller quantities (2/4/6% instead of 3/6/9% on 30/70/120 epics).

So is the skills based on equipment level or character level? Reading the guide it says character level. I assume that means any gloves can have SE if you cube it enough?

Until someone actually burns money, we won't know. I can't think of a single instance where a hat/top/bottom/overall/shoe that isn't 71+ can beat out one that is. People would rather use cubes on something useful. So only chance we'll get is if someone finds a low level hat, and magnifies it because it was already unidentified, got lucky with it being epic/unique, and maybe it'll have the skill.

Uh, what potential stats do shields give? I haven't seen any mention of it in this thread at all.

Does anyone know if a potential item get 2 bonus, when i cube it can it upgrade to have 3 bonus?

Until there is concrete evidnece, the only time a # of bonus change happens is small, and can only occur during a rank change as well is the current theory.

Haste (Shoes) [Your character must be level 70 or higher to have a chance to get this, and the item must be Epic to receive the skill as an upgrade] My level 16 mule cubing a decent haste skill on a level 80 item:

It makes no sense at all for a character's level to function in the potentialing process. I mean, how much better can a higher leveled character DRAG AND DROP a magnifying glass compared with a noob?
I'm fairly confident your mule doesn't have the skill IF: - it can wear the shoes; AND - it's below the level required which is impossible here.

So does a level 16 pants have the chance to get the HB skill as an upgrade or does it have to be a level 70+ item too?

Yes, an item from level 0 to lvl 200 (level.0 to level.20) can have the skill at level 1. That is, if you're willing to read too much into what the data implies.

So in theory an SCG/Facestomper could get SE/Haste. That's all I'm really concerned with, I can suck up a 9% total stat bonus.
