Krakia?
Rayquaza2233 Wrote:I'm more interested in the dot under the circle in the top middle, that dot is not on our world map, but it was on Nexon's Masteria world map on the website and it's on this map too.
Sometimes, I just scribble on stuff to make it look a lot more interesting, but it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Was talking about this post, not yours. The dot right under the circle closest to the top.

Here's an even more clear image of that map you guys were talking about...

I was talking about that too.

I'm just saying that it might sometimes not mean anything. It might just be to make it look not plain.

It strikes suspicion when it's on the closest thing to internal server maps (Nexon site) and not on our own map.

He's not talking about the markings on the continent map but the actual dots that represent areas. There's a dot marking a map near the center on this map that doesn't correspond to a map that's currently in the game. Since the only way the dots show up on the continent map is if there's a place in the data it's connected to, that means there's at least one map that's on Nexon's internal servers that isn't in the official game.
(hope that's clear enough, it's hard to write it legibly when we use the word "Map" to refer to the world maps and each screen of the game.)

I don't feel like thumbing through 26 pages to find said image of said dot; where exactly is this dot? Is it on the invasion plans map at the end of CWKPQ, or what?

Dude, it's on this page, Davidkun's post.

I circled it this time.

The only thing is that it's located still in the area of Phantom Forest and of course the surroundings there do not match those seen in the calendar whatsoever. Stunned

A more jungle-like setting fits the calendar best, and only three areas on the map match that, but from those three only one shows any sign of having futuristic whatnots inside it.

Looking at that map, it seems that after attacking NLC, the army retreats (the one arrow pointing away from NLC), they may be retreating to Krakia. There's also one arrow pointing to NLC from around the same area. There's also an attack coming from over the sea.

Gonna throw some speculation into this, since I noticed the dot on there a long time ago and it always raised my eyebrow.

Krakia's a lost city, right? Supposedly deep within the jungles and such? Since the Krakians went to war with the Keep, I could think they'd have more secretive routes that they formed to give them any sort of upper edge. Perhaps that dot is where an underground tunnel came up; may not seem too impossible since it's seemingly close to the Phantom Forest, and those trees are formed by the souls of dead Krakians. If that dot is actually to become a map, I could see us being able to travel there, go underground and traverse a tunnel full of bizarre creatures, then come out into a mysterious clearing. The path of this undiscovered forest would lead to this lost civilization, which has become a hidden base for Dr. Krakia, creating hundreds of mechanical guards and monsters for inevitable use against those with peace on Masteria.

Because of a person traveling underneath the ground for a few maps, the sudden change in the sky may work. Not sure how I can explain it, but as I mentioned in some earlier post of mine, Ariant's all chipper and sunny. After some transition maps, it's night-night for Magatia.

What do you mean by change in the sky? Like the appearance of the moon? Or that grid?
If you mean by the appearance of the moon/nighttime, the maps can easily progress into it, one can assume you would travel quite a bit.
Look at the haunted mansion, it's night, but you drive their from nlc, which is in the daytime.

Just imagine your face the day you find out that the polis of Krakia turns out to be denseless packed with the robot turkeys waiting to be sent over all over the Maple World every Thanksgiving, and these "modifications" Dr. Krakia is said to have been performing on his body are actually him transforming himself into a giant robotic turkey.

Seriously, though- it would be pretty funny to find the legendary giant robot turkey factory.

A long time ago, I believe I might have proposed an odd theory about a monkey statue around the jungle possibly leading the way to the polis. If I recall correctly the logic behind it, somewhere on the floor of the Mountain Cliffs map, there would be a monkey statue at the bottom. Maybe it might be a sign that you're definitely on the right track to finding Krakia, since it's a sign that you're near where some civilization is/was. Maybe- just maybe, Krakia is accessed through some hidden location on the cliffs. I could just be over-thinking Nexon's map design, though; and I'm not sure if there were more of these tossed around the maps.

Anyways, I'm fairly positive that this isn't Krakia- taking Hime's words at face value or not. It just doesn't match up with the descriptions of Krakia at all. It certainly doesn't look like it's in the middle of the jungle, nor do these monsters even look very plant-like. Doesn't fit with Versal either. It's too futuristic to exactly make it a mirror universe of the Maple universe; and there are other inconsistencies people have mentioned before me. Related to the "threat from space"? Possibly. I'm very curious though. During the White Versal Materia quest, he said there's nothing but Grays and Mateons there; but he did mention some odd other species that certainly aren't those- but not quite the monsters in this picture. I lost my screenshots of this though, would anyone happen to have screenshots of the "Brand New Materia" quest?

You know itmakes sense if you think about it. That could very well be an underground route..AH what if the maps we saw in that add the backround view is actually FOR karkia in traveling to the lost city by first going under ground?

That would make one hell of an event map to attach for this Thanksgiving if this was Krakia.

As for everything else: I can't really say for sure. The plant life doesn't seem to match up to what a jungle should look like. I just can't wait to see the inside.

To throw fuel on the fire of it being Krakia. We have that new NPC there, right? And he looks like a Barricade, right? And if it is indeed a new member of the Barricade family it will most likely be John and Jack's father who is the only other family John talks about besides his brother. And what is Father Barricade? An archaeologist. And why prey tell would an archaeologist be at an advance future city unless it was the ancient lost city of Krakia?

Of course this theory depends on the new NPC indeed being Father Barricade, but it's still very possible.
