Krakia?
About the moon being inside the dome thing... Could it be possible that the moon is bright enough to make the dome not visible around the moon. I mean, the dome isn't that visible anyways.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:I have been reading everything said in this thread just fine thank you kind ma'am. However the both of you don't seem to understand what I am doing, I am not defending the areas not being changed, I am defending Nexon's Logic. Everyone who is talking about the custom areas needing to be changed are using perfectly good common sense and logic, however Nexon has its own kind of logic which I have been using in my posts.

For the last 10 or so patches NexonNA has done nothing but translate and throw the KMS content into GMS, there has hardly been any work they have actually done except for Haunted House 2, which wasn't as bad as people make it out to be honestly. So while it's all fine and good to use common sense on the mobs needing to be changed it's silly to assume that NexonNA will actually use normal logic when Big Bang comes around instead of their own brand of logic.
You should have clarified that from the beginning because if that's the case we're all on the same page. They need to do it but that doesn't mean they'll think of it in advance. we all know Nexon's not good at predicting the potential impact of what they do.

about the haunted house expansion, the new monsters and maps are just fine - maps are a bit unimaginative but the mobs look great and they work so it's good. The problem was with the quest line. The requests didn't make a whole lot of sense, they didn't follow a logical story progression like the first set of Haunted House quests did. Then at the end they're like "BTW that girl's dead and she's evil so go kill her" - it had nothing to do with what had come before, there was no lead up to it. As TVtropes would put it, it's an "Asspull". They needed a boss at the end of the quests and couldn't figure out how to get to it so they just left it. It's just... shoddy work. Same thing for the Episode 1 quest chains. It's just a series of non sequitur missions culminating in a boss.

If that's the case for the new area then it'll be quite a letdown after the build up.

For all we know it's NOT in a dome, this is just one area we're seeing.

It's a dome shaped force field.

Here's an even more clear image of that map you guys were talking about...

Got a feeling it might have to deal with that circle in the bottom center of that map. :o

Some classes are worse than others, at this point I've done mage, thief, bowman, and pirate ones... the bowman one honestly makes very little sense. Neither does the pirate. But the magician line is, if not logical, then at least not ridiculously stupid.

What drives me crazy is that they don't remove untradeable etc. items automatically when you're finished with them. You end up with about 10-15 different things hanging around depending which class you are.

Yeah I got to agree with you there, the magician one makes the most sense, though that's not saying much.

I get what they were *trying* to do. It was supposed to be like, you're doing a favor for the job instructor and stumble onto a bigger problem and end up revealing a demonic plot to take over the island. But if you just tried to infer that from the quest lines, it's more like "go get some training from this artifact dealer. Why's he training archers? DON'T ASK QUESTIONS! Now go here. Now go there. Tada!" Hell, it actually sounds more like the job instructors know what's going on and just don't care at all.

I'm going to say it's probably the top-right due to it being the only place that has any sort of futuristic objects appearing surrounded by jungle. Shine

The weird thing is, the pirate quest heavily implies that Grendel is not only really old, but also really drunk. And his plot makes the most sense.

The two most annoying parts of the questline are A: Having to find the 5 map pieces in the different maps and B: Having the find the etc. items to make the Boar Mask. Also, the masks are ugly. I'm sorry I don't like looking like an Owl for 20+ levels just to have good stats.

I really think if kMS made their own adventurer exclusive questlines, they would do a tremendously better job. I just think they have a better knack for storytelling. I for one found the Evan questline to be enjoyable.

I probably don't know what I'm talking about, and I hate to add to speculation but...

Icebyrd says that a threat from the stars is an old Masterian tale. Hime said an invasion was coming, so.. threat=invasion? Also could this be where Subani and Nairicain are from?

They made them ugly on purpose to force us into buying transparent hats.

Good point. Like I said earlier glimmer man mentions half a dozen alien species so it really could be anything.

If this new place is actually in space or something then no it's not where Subani and Naricain comes from since Slimm says they are from here (Masteria), not NLC, but another area in Masteria. Now if this new area is still somewhere in Masteria that the aliens set up a base on then maybe.

Maybe Dr. Krakia and these "aliens" are working together to take down NLC.

Hey, this might have been brought up, and I'm in a hurry so I don't have the time to find the old Q/A but last time fro CWK I remember them talking about the next area.

Something about a new mount and a space ship or some kind of ship to get there, mostly hints but might make some more since with this background.

It seems the word (or should we say calendar?) has gotten out about the August update. Our August 2010 calendar features an eerie theme nobody in MapleStory has ever heard or seen before. Check out Fun Stuff on the website and head on over to the Nexon forums to give your opinion what the August 2010 calendar is!

Seems like I called the (official server) release date.

Events end at August 17, so that must be the patch date. Therefore Tespia will only be open for a week or this Masteria update will not go to Tespia.

Versal's sun isnt gone or anything as some heros made the beast cough up the sun and it returned to the sky. However it was weakened by this so it can only shine at full strength for 3 months of the year. That time is celebrated as Versalmas.

I'm more interested in the dot under the circle in the top middle, that dot is not on our world map, but it was on Nexon's Masteria world map on the website and it's on this map too.
