Krakia?
Something interesting to note here, just my personal speculation:

In the Mapletimes it mentions that the new area will be released in the August update. Assuming we don't get BigBang this month also (like that would ever happen), wouldn't it be counter-productive to put normal stats on the monsters, and then a month or a few months later have to revise all of the stats to be more BB appropriate? It seems to me like it would be a lot simpler and more efficient to either A: release both BB and the new area at once with stats adjusted accordingly, or B: release BB first.

Unless, like Meta is saying, that they won't even bother changing the stats at all post-BB.

Edit: @Meta: Another thing to add here, I'd like to think that Nexon will be bothered enough to change the stats (although, knowing Nexon, they probably won't), because if any of the exclusive-content mobs were to have a considerably higher EXP gain compared to the standard monsters, wouldn't it just fuel the fire for more KS wars and drama on the already jam-packed maps they spawn in?

Nexon more than likely won't care, to be honest.

If this is a new area in Masteria, it would be interesting to see how they would add it to the world map; considering the little space there is left on it.
I'm thinking they'll whip up a "World Map" for Masteria and its entirety, along with regional maps for the notable regions within Masteria.

Otherwise it'll be all cramped together with too many themes at once.

Well isn't the visual bigger ben like 10% of the size of the actual bigger ben? I thought isaac said something about that.
edit: Lift key, blah blah blah, meaning bigger ben could be expanded upon without being cluttered in the world map.

If either of these conflicting points have been discussed, then I guess this is re-mentioning and reinforcing them.

-The girl is from the calendar. Monster we already have. *points at the red eyepieces*

-First two creatures are from the calendar. On Astaroth, note the mask and it's two eyes aside from Astaroth's two eyes. More of a 4-eye theme?

4 Possibilities
•In some wacky way, could pass as "Episode 2" content.
•Still could be Krakia, in which I think it is.
•Perhaps Episode 1 is actually based around the Masterian storyline and this, whether it be Krakia or not, ties it in? Gotta love this 4-eye theme.
•Something out of left field.

I don't think you can base something just based on an eyepiece and a mask with four eyes.

True point, but I was kind of comparing the concepts of the content. .-.

It's more likely that they'll introduce a regional map for Bigger Ben if it does get expanded upon, similar like what they've done to the Haunted House. Even that seems unlikely unless it contains a sufficient amount of maps. But generally, looks can be deceiving in this game. The only part of Bigger Ben accessible at the moment is MesoGears, iirc. There was also an ETC item that operates an elevator (?) in Bigger Ben from the NLC patch, or something of that sort.

No it wasn't. I remember last year when we got it a bunch of people saying KMS had it first and a bunch of people who play KMS saying they don't.

IsaacGS Wrote:You seem to be saying they won't change it because they want their exclusive to be better and they don't care how much better so if it changes from 100% an hour to 200% an hour no problem. *IF* they don't change it, all it means is, as usual, they've overlooked a serious flaw and don't care about fixing it. You know, like the 50% scrolls.

People keep saying when they're patching Big Bang and they look at the HP and EXP values they will suddenly change their own custom mobs because they're broken, but what stopped them from doing this before? They could have easily looked into the data and saw Windraiders were had an insane HP:EXP ratio compared to all the other mobs, but they didn't, so why now?

And I am not saying it only because GMS wants their own content to be better than everyone's elses, I am saying it because they're Nexon. They made and release stuff like 60% GM scrolls and 10% GM scrolls.

Bigger Ben and MesoGears are two different things.

they didn't specifically get an experience reduction patch; they always had less exp-to-level than other versions. when ours got reduced it was done to match the rates in kms.

and i don't think you've been reading what isaac has said. he already addressed the current pre-big bang windraiders; compared to everything else in that range they seem broken but in truth it's because there aren't any real trainable areas in that level range, so there's nothing to compare windraiders to. gms just added what was already a necessity, one that fits well. if you look, the training spots in kms go from c-2 to like... kents. there's a huge exp gap in there.

Yes but think about this. KMS gave them an exp reduction because they never had one. For all we know gms might reduce it by say 10% more than what it already is and leave it at that.Or they may do it full. But then again who cares, you can train on jesters to 120 yay!But then there will also be other training spots who are better than what we have. Now I'm not saying they wont fix it.I can see them changing levels but not exp or hp values.Maybe make WRS 80 make cgs 130 or something. But anything else?Nah,but I agree with Meta in a sense, do I believe they aren't going to hurt their precious Masteria baby?Yes I believe they will leave it. Do I believe a few levels MAY be changed, ya I can see that. But only WRS cgs storm breakers and maybe NightShadows. But others, I doubt it.

gMs reduced the curve by fixed rates. kMS redid the equations. It isn't "Ok, so we take x exp to level and multiply it by .8". It's an entirely new set of equations that dictate the Exp tnl solely based on character level.

I would expect the same equations in gMS when BB comes our way.

to whoever said this can't be in that small pyramid, maybe its a "drink me" kind of thing ( If you don't understand that reference then I facepalm in your general dirrection )
and to whoever said the moons inside the dome, maybe its artificial, that could mean this is a space colony.....

With High expectations , human beings leave earth to begin life in space colonies .
however, the united earth sphere alliance gains great military power and soons seizes power of one colony after another , in the name of justice and peace.
the year is after colony 195 "Operation Meteor" In a move to counter the alliances tyrany , rebel citizens of certain colonies scheme to bring new arsenals to the earth disguising them as shooting stars
however , the alliance headquarters catches onto this operation.

Or a pocket dimension inside the pyramid(Although it looks a helluva lot more like a surveillance camera to me), instead of being shrunk. Maple's gotten so far out there already that nothing's really "out in left field" anymore Goggleemoticon

I dont see why people say Krakia is a pocket demension within the object, it clearly says its a City in the jungle, and they fought against the Taru and Crimsonwood clans, so they're on the same scale pretty much...

If anything I'd guess Krakia got left within Versal before I believe its in that little object.

Where did I say that it's Krakia? :f6:
Until Nexon says it's Krakia, I'm keeping an open mind as to what it could be =\

Ah. I think many people (including myself) just assume it to be Krakia for a few reasons;

The quest with Icebyrd Slimm says we have to go to the Krakian jungle next at the end of it.
Magatia was released and told the background of Dr. Krakia.
We've been having the Thanksgiving Krakia Turkey event for a couple of years now.

If its more Masteria, Krakia really feels like the natural progression, the only way they could do otherwise would be sandwich something in between, that contains even more Krakia buildup.

But there's also the city in the calendar, and we know Krakia's a lost city off in the jungles of Masteria. Dr. Krakia, the opponent of Foxwitt who clearly associates himself with this supposed expansion, is able to time travel and created those mechanical turkeys. Because of the ability to travel into the future and the obvious ability to construct robotic nuisances, the futuristic enemies in the calendar image may very well be of this man's doing. The puzzle pieces fit, not sure why people don't understand. This image obviously signifies it's gotta be Krakia, it's not solely based on the last Masteria quest we have.

Not sure if anyone's also pointed it out, but the fact the city is placed behind the foliage supports the concept of the city being lost in the forest since you can't exactly see it unless you've gotten so close.

But for the sake of argument, let's just say for sure it's custom content and we should be excited for it.

Oh, don't get me wrong, it makes sense, it's just that I'm not going to acknowledge it's Krakia until Nexon says it is, so I don't end up with my foot in my mouth later.
Not to mention that even though Krakia is futuristic, based on what I saw in the jungle, this stuff in the calendar looks to be of a different make altogether.

I have been reading everything said in this thread just fine thank you kind ma'am. However the both of you don't seem to understand what I am doing, I am not defending the areas not being changed, I am defending Nexon's Logic. Everyone who is talking about the custom areas needing to be changed are using perfectly good common sense and logic, however Nexon has its own kind of logic which I have been using in my posts.

For the last 10 or so patches NexonNA has done nothing but translate and throw the KMS content into GMS, there has hardly been any work they have actually done except for Haunted House 2, which wasn't as bad as people make it out to be honestly. So while it's all fine and good to use common sense on the mobs needing to be changed it's silly to assume that NexonNA will actually use normal logic when Big Bang comes around instead of their own brand of logic.
