Krakia?
-Ghost- Wrote:Wait, whoa, calm down guy, you're trying -way- too hard to push your speculations as facts. How are those comparisons any different from what we -already- have?

Lv.70 Windraiders: 800 Exp, 16k HP l Lv.80 Stormbreaker: 1650 Exp, 36k HP
Lv.70 TauroMacis: 270 Exp, 15k HP l Lv.80 Lycanthrope: 850 Exp, 27k HP
Lv.70 Klock: 270 Exp, 15k HP l Lv.80 Eye of Time: 850 Exp, 24k HP

You get the idea. Crimson is -already- much better in comparison, why would Big Bang force it to change?

none of your examples are main training areas pre-big bang. both neos and lycan are the training spots for their level post big bang. if you want to make a real point you'd have to compare wr and stormbreakers to kents, which are on even footing.

MetaSeraphim Wrote:Okay, leaving the monsters on the sidelines for a moment. The NLC pots are enough of a reason to think why they wouldn't change their baby, you can buy in bulk a pot that restores 75% of your HP and MP, that is better than Power Elixirs solely because you can buy them when you please.

If they really go through this rebalancing thing to match Big Bang they would also have to change the pots because the pots are more broken than apples.

i wouldn't disagree, but since pots always drop in stacks post bb it makes such arguments invalid. as far as i've seen, you're rarely going to find yourself buying pots and i expect power elixirs will be just as plentiful as anything you can buy in nlc.

The only pots that drop in stacks are the low level pots. The only pots that were lowered in price were the low level pots. So nothing changed there.

IsaacGS Wrote:Right now, yes, the level 7x-8x monsters in the keep are far better than the alternatives in other areas. But before the keep, where did people train at those levels? On Zombies, roids, whatever else. They weren't training on appropriate level monsters, they were training on monsters in the 5x range. For some unknown reason the HP/EXP ratio and damage on level 7x mobs jumped way up, then went back to normal for the higher level monsters. The result was that no one used them and stayed at their old training spots. Windraiders, Stormbreakers, those are what level 70 and 80 mobs SHOULD have been from the beginning. With Big Bang, those previously worthless 7x and 8x mobs were put back at suitable ratios in line with other monsters. They're not unusually bad anymore.

If that is the case then there is no need to change the CWK mobs since they're already perfect according to you.

It seems the word (or should we say calendar?) has gotten out about the August update. Our August 2010 calendar features an eerie theme nobody in MapleStory has ever heard or seen before. Actually, my real point is still valid: You're trying way too hard to try and get people to believe that your -speculations- are facts or something, whether you realize it or not. Seriously, just say, ''Hey, this is what I think, and that is what you think, so let's wait and see what really happens once everything is released officially.''

Neither one of you are getting anywhere by trying to argue over things neither of you are right about until/unless proven that you are.

You seem to be forgetting that the EXP to level was cut in half. the Keep monsters are perfect for the CURRENT EXP curve. Under the new curve, they're radically broken.

Other versions have stolen NLC, so it wouldn't be GMS only for long even if there was a secret new GMS job.

90% of the stuff on this forum is debating Sonny Jim. Though you have a point, this is only going back and forth trying to shoot each other's ideas down.

No, not forgetting. However seeing as we already have an EXP cut I don't think 20% more on top of that is going to break the game to pieces and make it easy standing in the rain. People 10xing to 120 in 2 days is breaking the game to pieces.

Sure, in the upper 160+'s 50% is going to be insane on some current mobs (Crimson Guardians?), but either way the levels who train on the monsters we are talking about jump up pretty fast as it already is. I've seen that getting to 70 now in KMS is a cakewalk, so in GMS it would be a little less of a walk, whoopdedoo.

Buddy youre asking for too much lol
GMS is not capable of releasing new jobs and also if they would wish to release new jobs they need tespia 3 weeks before release at least to check it out

Not really, its very well possible for Nexon NA to come up with their own job classes. The only thing wrong is that they would have many issues with them, possibly even with Tespia testing them.

They'll 99,99% likely release Tespia on Wednesday, one week before the actual patch, which will most likely lead to Tespia failure, once again.

Why in the world do they keep doing that? Are they seriously that stupid?

KMST terms last months and months, and they release content there SEVERAL weeks before the official patch. Why don't they just follow them and do the same?

This is really stupid. I'm expecting that the bugs in Tespia won't likely be fixed in the official patch, like always.

Well, there's a high chance Krakia won't be in Tespia, but instead other content, most likely PQs and/or Big Bang.

This is assuming they're going to keep to their word about keeping GMS exclusive content out of Tespia as well as going off of that they said GMS will be caught up to KMS by the end of the year, which implies they're very confident about that prediction which leads me to think they've already been working on getting Big Bang in. Stunned Nexon America -is- a branch of Nexon Korea after all, it wouldn't be unlikely for them to work on getting the content implemented sooner.

You can't ever rule anything out with this company. They like to suprise.

Edit: Still early for me didn't missed the assume part somehow. o.o Regardless my comment relates to the whole debate at hand.

Well, I was only stating what I thought about it. I even said I only came to the conclusions I came to assuming they -don't- pull any surprises basically. Eek

I'm personally excited for the artwork (though someone seems pissed about it being ripped off), the storyline and possibly one more training area (which wishfully is exclusive for 90+, or better yet, 110+).

Masteria updates have always come with at least one good training spot.

the EXP curve reduction in GMS was in KMS first. that means this is an additional 50% cut on top of the previous one, so that argument doesn't really fly. There are a lot of things that would need to be changed (episode 1 quests for example, will be about 150% for killing 10 slimes on the BB exp curve) for it to be reasonable again. I don't know if they will, but i know that they should, and if they don't it's a sign of negligence. You seem to be saying they won't change it because they want their exclusive to be better and they don't care how much better so if it changes from 100% an hour to 200% an hour no problem. *IF* they don't change it, all it means is, as usual, they've overlooked a serious flaw and don't care about fixing it. You know, like the 50% scrolls.

And the NLC potions you're touting as evidence earlier? If you'll recall they were much, much cheaper at first. Then, they realized how disruptive that was, and the prices were readjusted. Even if the NLC mobs make it through Big Bang unscathed, odds are someone will catch on to how broken it is and make it more in line later on.

Speaking of the original Masteria Map, anyone think that when Vineland ends up getting released, it'll be right next to that huge river in the Northeast?
Reply
I think the river was meant to be crossed to get to vineland, and that something has happened to change their minds
and are not going to release vineland at all now. That's the only reason I can think for that whole plot of land to the right
of the river just vanishing on the map update.

The whole NLC potion thing makes me think of when they first adjusted the prices on them and they got super high in cost, then
each patch notes they would "say" they fixed it but never did for like 4-5 patches.

It seems to me that they've zoomed toward the center (NLC) and left (CWK/HH) sections of the map, completely disregarding the future expansion on the right.

If this is a new area in Masteria, it would be interesting to see how they would add it to the world map; considering the little space there is left on it.
I'm thinking they'll whip up a "World Map" for Masteria and its entirety, along with regional maps for the notable regions within Masteria.

Otherwise it'll be all cramped together with too many themes at once.
