Since the versal grandmasters are trying to figure out crimsonhearts grave in mesogears, maybe that's going to be the portal leading to the next area, since that's where crimsonheart was born after all. Only NLC is what was built on the ground where Olde Sappe Village stood before the sinking of the continent. In the original hauned house questline the stepmother asks you to get her a cherry pie from Olde sappe, and you buy those in NLC.

Speculation:
From event dates it seems that next patch will be August 17th. Could it be that Tespia will launch week earlier, which would mean August 10th? Or then we'll just have one patch before Masteria update. If so, we could expect more info about this in 4 days. Also, both NLC and Crimsonwood keep were released in summer (cwk august and nlc july 27).

All the people in the mansion are either ghosts from way back when Olde Sappe existed and the mansion was at its prime or they were preserved for years. They haven't left the Mansion since Masteria reappeared, they don't know about the fact Olde Sappe was destroyed and a new city was built on top of it.

I thought Masteria sunk and when it reappeared a thousand years later, Slimm had decided to build NLC over the remnants of Olde Sappe. Pretty sure it was stated that NLC sunk underwater somewhere, I just can't cite this anywhere. Edit: Read Isaac's thread and it was Subani who brought Masteria back. Guess this post can be scratched? I still thought there was something about the ocean though involved, heh.

It didn't sink, it was teleported to Versal. I'm pretty sure if you do "Cool as Ice" Slimm tells you this himself. Think about it this way. If Masteria sunk into the sea, how would the Haunted Mansion have been preserved? What, magical water?

Maybe, but maybe not, they should allow a day or 2 to get all the bugs out there and checked, then they cut them out before the patch goes live, i'd say the 8th for Tespia. And yes, if you do the quest after getting MoN, you find out that Slimm was saying Masteria was raised from the sea as a facade, and it was in fact stuck within Versal.

Ok, I stand corrected then. I was not all that far off tho. Sunken or not, NLC stands where Olde Sappe once did, and that was the point to begin with.

Didn't people think that it was sunk, as a way to logically explain it's disappearance? But, in reality, it got teleported to Versal.
Now that it reappeared, they are saying that it emerged from the sea, but that's not really true. Anyway, it's been a while since I've read anything on Masteria, so I'm a bit rusty.

I am going nutty thinking about this! We should totally petition for mrs. hime to post a q&a. That way every answer she gives we
could just assume the opposite to get our real information. Hmmmm, if it is an underground dome type of base, I wonder if the "elevator key" and stuff from patches long ago will be put into use for the "bigger ben elevator".

I was just wondering, the hologram when you finish CWKPQ, it's Naricain isn't he?.... and doesn't he have 4 eyes? or am I mistaken o.o
2010-08-06, 12:57 PM
I remember him having 4/6 arms, eyes I think are only two. Just look at the MoN's, they're supposed to be made in his image, no?

You can't really tell in-game so I grabbed the image out of Isaac's thread. Still can't tell, so I'd say 2 eyes based on the Mark of Naricain. But definitely 6 arms.
From A Long Time Ago: ![]() From Isaac's Thread: ![]() This screenshot has the whole map you see in the above screenie. Points toward the jungle... and thereforth Krakia. Krakia's a lost city, and I see buildings in that calendar. And since the creatures aren't exactly blue-skinned like Versalians, can we ultimately rule out Krakia yet?
