I've gotten my DB to 62 THREE times tonight. -_- This crap ate 2 hours of my 2x card. (I can only train at night/in the mornings due to my sister's torrenting.)

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised honestly. I mean it's starting to spread to Khaini at a fast rate and Broa just got its first RB Crash.

Khaini just crashed again, so yea. I´m gonna blame fawktard dupers for now.

Windia randomly experienced a random spawnless moment for about 2-3 minutes about two hours ago where every map would be completely empty and buff icons wouldn't fade. It was kinda weird seeing an entire map of oblivion 4 totally empty. Probably unrelated though.

Broa just crashed a second time.

=O At least I managed to farm 25 scrolls and spread them in little quantities to tons of mules.

the idea is that whoever is doing this is putting the items they want into storage (or where ever is safe) and then effectively DDoSing the server, or overloading it to the point where it crashes and thinks the max number of players are in the world. after it goes live again, a rollback will have occured in the typical vulnerable areas while other places like the MTS or storage are safe.

Even if they're using a proxy, that doesn't mean it's impossible to identify them.

to do a DDoS(Distributed Denial of Service), you have to make a lot of connection to the server to the point it can't handle anymore connection and crash, its like when there is too many people accessing sw.net, and you get that message, server too busy. so its probably a virus that is spread to a lot of computers, and the hacker remotely tell the virus to connect to nexon server, making it crash, it if we are talking about ddos atack against nexon server.

Make new account > Create an Aran > lvl to 10, go to vic, store scroll after getting it from gaga > Relog and delete char > Make new Aran. Rinse and repeat to your hearts content.

assuming that it is malicious persons doing this it is not likely that nexon would publically announce any action they intend to take against them. short of someone stepping forth and taking responsibility for the recent events with proof or nexon admitting this was their fault, it's quite likely we will never know the cause.
