Okay so the whole HELPER CLUE thing that I explicitly stated was supposed to mean that the short couplet was supposed to help you solve the first clue you got. Let's look at it again, shall we?

Next up was the picture. You guys found the hidden message at least. The one about a lack of clothing and dancing. That was supposed to lead to the thought process "no clothing = flashing... flash + dance = FLASHDANCE HEY THAT'S A MOVIE". And what song was made famous by that movie?

Anyway, yes. The song is called? Maniac. In conjunction with the seemingly way too obvious darkness, indicates... Darkmaniak.
Now, on to the epic pineappleups. FIRST AND FOREMOST. After this game ran its course, I realized something. Back in the old games I used to play, we expressly forbade people from communicating in private, unless they were the mafia talking to each other (or the lovers talking to each other). The point being you're only allowed to talk to someone in private if you know their identity from the start. It creates a major issue - supermasonry. Masons are basically the same idea as the lovers, only no revenge kills. Town aligned, they know each other, they can communicate, etc. Supermasonry is when the entire town effectively becomes masons by crazy amounts of communications. If you guys had acted on the supermasonry you had almost created and gone after Mira instead of Will, you would most likely have won this game. Sure it doesn't seem that great, since you didn't win, but there was one instance of a game I played (Gunstar Heros themed, as I recall) where there was 1 missed vote kill, I think, on day 1. Other than that supermasonry absolutely demolished the mafia and the game was incredibly lame as a result. So in future games, I'm thinking... No more private communication unless it's mafia-to-mafia or lover-to-lover (or I suppose mason-to-mason if those ever get used).
Second, I don't think I explained some things well enough. The clues, for example. Namely the first one and its helper. When I run games (so if I run more in the future), and I make it obvious (or at least try to) that a clue is supposed to point to a person who's left another clue behind (the "same handwriting" thing), the new clue will not be a stand-alone clue. It'll be a hint at the proper way to solve the first clue for that person. I apologize for not making that obvious from the get-go.
Third (and last for now I think), I guess I didn't explain this well enough either, but the thief is a
half-mafia, not a full one. The popular opinion on IRC at least was that there was a godfather, a mafian, and a thief. 3, as they thought. When I see that I think 2.5 mafians. Thus, the real count (godfather, 2 mafians, 1 thief) was 3.5 and not 4, which is reasonable for a 13-person game. So yeah. In the future, if you think there's a thief in the game, remember - they only count for half a mafian, not a full one.
