90% or 70% Potential scroll?

Seeing all the kabooming these 90% Potential scrolls are doing, which do you trust more?

I'ma be completely honest, I'd rather use a 70% scroll than use a 90% and having that unlucky 10% activate.

I used a 70% potential on a spare Zhelm I had lying around.. it died, that aside I had fun using it 8D

60% and 70% scrolls hate me I swear xD

I've used 5 potential scrolls so far, 4 70%s and 1 90%.

The 70%s blew up my shield and shoes, and I passed them on my overall and cape.
The 90% passed on my wand.

I'd say 90%. I hate everything 70% with a burning passion.

I would never trust a 90% with my good items.

people put too much trust in 10% and thus fall harder when it fails because it seems so high.

but 10% is still a 10/100 or 1/10 fail rate. very high

Big surprise, 1/3 of the 70%s I've used have failed and none of the 90%s. So I prefer 90% on valuable items. They do cost more though.

Despite the horror stories I've heard about 90%s, I still trust them more.

Despite me being 0 for 2 on 90% scrolls, I still prefer them over 70% on the fail factor, which is rather ironic if you ask me.

70% boomed my extra dex pac.... Not gonna even think about using either a 70% or 90% on my 11 dex 3 att u/h pac, or my 8 att u/h pac.

Most pink capes are kinda...junk... now. They're only level 50, which prevents them from getting the best potential stats. I wouldnt hesitate to potential your pink capes. If it booms, or ends up with 2 bonuses, sell it and pick up a 75+ cape with 3 bonuses. Or just plain sell it without potential and get a 75+ cape.

I 90'd my 5/8 cape and it went boom. Found a relatively cheap lvl 75 cape in the FM with 3 bonuses. Cubed about 30 times and it went to unique. Few more cubes and it gives me 9% and 3% to my main stat (far better than a 5/8 cape). And that's not even half of what it could be capable of with more cubes.

How much was that 3 bonus cape, by the way? Might just pick one up myself.

On attack capes, it would seem better to have a pac, even if its lvl 50 (the 65 one being better of course), as it would allow you to get more use out of % attack bonuses from weapons.

For my BM (which i use the 8 att on) it would take around 40 dex easy to make up the attack loss. It would take at least 6% to dex to cover that. While in the same boat, a potential pac can get some decent bonuses, making it worth even more.
