They day was filled with accusations. Some were based on the note that had been nailed to Sam's head, but most were on suspicions alone. Then Rebecca went and dropped a bombshell, claiming to know with certainty the identity of a mafia member. The town, however, was not as trusting as she had hoped. Almost everyone immediately sided against her, and before she knew it she was standing on the same raised platform where Alex had died just a single day ago, a noose around her neck.

Just like last time, Chris had his hand on the lever. "Any last words?" Rebecca looked him in the eyes. "You'll all see soon enough." The lever was pulled, and soon enough Rebecca had stopped twitching. They lowered the body and examined it. Just like yesterday, however, they failed to find anything suspicious on it. A quick check of her house confirmed their fears. Once again, they had killed an ally and not an enemy.

Distraught at the loss of yet another friend, the townspeople went back to their houses to sleep, hoping that maybe, just maybe they would have better luck the next day.

Two posts were just deleted - one by Kurtle, who was voting at night (for reasons I can't fathom) and one by CoB, who shouldn't be posting in this thread. Nor should anyone else who's dead. But yeah. I'm not bothering to have this thread locked at night anymore because it's a hassle to get a mod to lock/unlock it, but please don't post here unless the topic title includes the word "Day" and not "Night".

Evan was sitting in his house, watching the door, a pistol in his lap. It's only a matter of time. He knew they would be after him soon. It didn't make him any less nervous. There was, however, a thrill of excitement deep inside of him too. They'll be here. And I'll be ready.

His door swung open, ushering a cool night breeze.

"Good evening, Mr. Hawkman."
"So you're the one they decided to send after me, hmm?"

Evan quickly stood and whipped the pistol up, leveling it at his assailant's chest. The intruder dove to the side as Evan fired. There was another gunshot, and Evan was crumpled on the ground, clutching his left knee in agony.

"You knew too much, Mr. Hawkman. I'm afraid we can't let you live..."

One final shot rang out.

I'm glad I didn't even bother to eat anything this morning, Jesse thought to himself as he ran to wake the town. At least I didn't leave a mess this time. Soon, the town was gathered at Evan's house, where Jesse had stumbled upon an open door, revealing his old friend's body with one bullet wound in the knee and one in the back of the head. They had found yet another note next to the body. The paper and handwriting seemed to match the one they had found on the first day, with Old Paulie's corpse; presumably it had been left by the same cocky bastard who had done Paulie in. The note was short:

Check the start and not the end, lest you kill another friend. Your lucky color is blue.

Confused by how cryptic the note was and distraught at the loss of yet another friend, the town settled in to try to solve this mystery. They were running out of time, and they knew it.

Ok guys. I talked about this in IRC during the "night", but the Detective has been confiding in me.

Will is the Thief. You could vote for him, if you want.

However, we're also at a stage where I know exactly who could be the mafia. If we can:

1. Figure out what every day's clue means.
2. Figure out what townperson roles are still in the game.

We can figure out exactly which people are the mafia.

(Holypie has also requested (before his death) that I tell his story, so I'll do that in my next post.)

EDIT: The detective told me that Mira is a normal townie. That very likely means that she's the God Father, but we can't confirm that till we determine how many normal townie roles there and what each clue points to. It could be possible to have 3 normal townies.

Uhm, I'd just like to point out that the handwriting on this clue and the first clue is the same, so yeah.

Inb4 all the townies die in a row.

Holypie's account of recent events (for what it matters):

-MasPan threatened to kill him if he didn't vote for me
-MasPan later admits to being a townie, and tells Holy his plan to use the same tactic towards Mira
-MasPan tells Holypie that he told Mira that he thinks Holypie is the Doctor, and that I'm mafia
-Mira tells Holypie about what MasPan told her

Old Paulie was just the first. Many more will follow after him. Never think that you can beat us. Once we kill the rest of you, this town will be ours. Most of you are just monsters, anyway. Now that we've sunk our claws into Tinyville, there will be no stopping us. Only God can protect you from your doom. Make your peace with him.

I'm realizing that this may just be my personal style and not something that other hosts do, so I figured I should clarify: The bit in today's story about the handwriting? Completely intentional. I was attempting to indicate that today's clue is meant to be a helper clue, not a stand-alone clue.

I've done several things poorly in this game, and I intend to rectify them and explain stuff when it's all over, so bear with me until then. The first one is always rocky, but hopefully they'll get smoother and go better in the future.

I would suggest voting for Will. We absolutely know that he is the Thief, while Mira may be innocent. We can then figure out the rest of the mafia during the night. (Plus, the Thief mucking stuff up could hurt us more than a death would, if he's lucky in who he hits.)
