Mafia Gameplay Thread - Game over: MAFIA WINS

I'm not bothering with the locking anymore, but keep the posting to the discussion thread at night in the future please, even if it's something like that.

Rage and vengeance were in Sam's heart and mind. Someone will pay for this. I don't care who. Sam returned to the house from visiting Alex's grave to find the door... ajar? Sam rushed inside and checked the house. First they kill Alex, now they're trying to rob me? Sam's rage grew. Eventually, however, after a thorough examination of the house, Sam realized nothing valuable was missing. The only things he had noticed gone were all of his good knives, his axe... Anything I could be using as a weapon. Being so preoccupied, Sam didn't even realize the stranger sneaking up from behind...

Jesse was out for another early morning walk, once again caught up with unease. As he walked by Sam's house, he glanced at the door, lost in thought. Then he did a double-take. Sam's severed head was attached to the door by a wooden stake, and a small note had been nailed to the forehead.

After a losing what little breakfast he had eaten, Jesse ran to wake the town once again. They found Sam's body inside of the house, covered with stab wounds. After removing the note from the head and the head from the door, they buried Sam next to Alex. They had no time to mourn, however. They needed to stop these brutal murders before any more people died. Again, the town crowded around the note and started trying to make sense of it.

ClawofBeta died last night. He was Sam Richards, the other lover. You have your story, you have your clue, and you still have no dead mafians. GET TO WORK.

P.S. In case anyone was wondering, yes, I did give the two lovers androgynous names deliberately, and yes, I did avoid using "him/her/he/she", etc. in any of the stories when talking about the two of them. And no, I'm not going to say who was what gender.

P.P.S. I apparently can change the title of my first post but not of the topic. So could a mod do that for me (change Night 1 to Day 2) or, if I'm wrong, could someone tell me how to edit it myself?

So wait, Corn got mafia killed before he could kill?

All that I'll say here is what I said in IRC: All night kills have the same priority, so if two or more were to happen in one night, they would all happen regardless of who's killing who under normal circumstances.

So Corn didn't decide to kill anyone? Or as he too slow and the mafia killed him first?

...this is too funny.

So instead of killing someone who, you know, had powers that could screw up their plans... they killed the one person who was literally useless.

Also, pineapple you all for being dumb enough to vote, AGAIN, for someone on what seems to be an obvious clue. Both Monster and Claw did not refer to either of the lovers, and actually got them both killed. Why would an obvious reference be the answer this time?

And what other person would the clue refer to? Even now, I can't figure that out.

If your remember correctly, CoB trusted me even as Ray was about to be killed. I revealed my identity to him before he died last night. I'm surprised I haven't died yet, so I'm ready to reveal my identity if I need to, since I probably won't live through another night.

Or you said that because it would provide a good excuse today. Without knowing what CoB knew, I can't trust you, and everything leading to this point leaves you as the only one acting suspicious - everyone else is being very quiet and unassuming. Or the mafia outvoted you as to "who to kill."
