Which is funny since Rogue is the least played class in WoW by far at the moment.

Quote:looks like I'm the only one who does arenas

I used to do Arena for a while in Season 5, but kinda stopped doing it as it stressed me out way more than raiding or just BGing in general. Friend and I did Arena last season for fun / casually and only went up to 1400s.

I should be over 2k rated before tuesday hits (I hope). As long as I don't run into a bunch of shadow priests (hate these guys -_-"). We lost to a 2.1k MMR spriest/rogue because my druid got feared beneath one of the ROV pillars. We had already killed the rogue and the priest was at like 5k health zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz .

People say BG9 is supposed to be the hardest battlegroup? I don't see how it's any different than any other BG to be honest.

They probably mean that in 3s since that's the "Main" Arena group used in all major tournies. I can see it not being as "big" in 2s or 5s.

How are Rogues the least played when they are top tier in PvE and especially in PvP?

Not sure if this is all correct but rogues dont bring any buffs nor any debuffs that other classes can't provide. So you could bring in a 14k dps rogue, or bring in a 13k dps ret pally, feral druid, etc and gain buffs that easily make up for the 1k dps difference.

huh? Rogues are one of the weakest classes in arenas right now. Only DKs are lower in rep in high end arena.
In high end PvE (ilvl 277 gear) Rogues are lower in DPS than paladins, warriors, spriests, feral druid, mages, and death knights.

not to mention they suck to level

PvP wise, this chart at the top is good enough lol
http://www.sk-gaming.com/arena/player/al...l/all/all/

PvE wise, they're pretty much top DPS until 277+ gear in which case they start to slowly fall down the ladder. They just don't scale as well as other classes do in 277+ gear.

Wow where did the days go where a BiS Rogue with Twin Blades of Azzinoth pretty much facerolled in the DPS charts? What happened to their hax CC-ing? It's not good enough anymore in WoTLK? Feral druids/Ret Pallies are stronger than rogues in end-game PvE? WT'F???????? My WoW world is flipped upside dooooooown.

What happened to DKs? I heard they slaughtered PvP in early WoTLK.

all of the plate melee classes have access to shadowmourne which puts them ahead of rogues on the DPS charts. Our CC is a lot lower than before (in pvp) because rogues run 44/x/xx builds now using envenom + deadly poison. With a DoT ticking we can't gouge/blind our current target. Some rogues run subtlety. It doesn't have enough damage vs plate to use in 2's, but shadow dance is pretty strong in 3's.

they overnerfed death knights

I always wonder why they didn't give each class a legendary. It's always been certain classes at certain times and it was strange. Except back in Vanilla it was three legendaries.

I do find it weird as to why TBC and Wrath only got 2 Legendaries while Vanilla got 3. I mean technically you could argue that Vanilla only got 2 as well, because Naxx40 was one of those raids rarely anyone actually got to complete, let alone see it. Plus the fact you can't get to the lvl 60 variant anymore.

Actually, screw it. Vanilla had 4 Legendaries LOL

That user still has that necklace to this day. If you look him up on armory, the item will not appear in the slot and result in an error.

Yeah, I actually checked his armory the day I checked the "Legendary Item" list and it's rather amazing. Just sucks that the player doesn't really play that character anymore.

Yeah, he appears to have quit completely.

Also, there is a pomegranate load of hidden items apparently in the database of World of Warcraft. People figured out a way to send queries with the client to the server to data mine it. Lots and lots of hidden items were found, even Gamemaster items.

Example of some of the GM weapons, though one of them was accidently sent to a player and abused to pineapple in Ulduar (it was Martin Fury)

After patch 1.10, they added a case to where if the item has never dropped in the realm, then linking it to Trade Chat or any chat would result in failure and disconnect you.

I am in the Cataclysm beta, but WoW doesn't cut it for me anymore.

I have an 80 Resto Shaman, an 80 Warlock and a 78 Deathknight, both the 80s are midway through hardmodes in ICC.

With the upcoming cataclysm changes to raiding and such, WoW has just completely died out for me, it was once a great game, that started trimming fat to make itself casual, and went a little too far by cutting out some of what made progression fun.

What happened to doing Hard Mode?

They're still there. No raids have currently been implemented. Alot is still in heavy development and not ready for testing in Cataclysm.

The thing is, you are not forced to do 25-man raids anymore. 10 man drops the same loot as 25 man. The only difference is that somethings are half a tier better in 25 man (though, I have a good feeling there will be more things they'll add in 25 man that will make the community aim for it).

On top of that, 10 man and 25 man are on the same raid lockout. You can downgrade a 25-man RaidID into three 10-man RaidIDs. In example, if you killed 2/5 bosses in a 25 man raid, you can downgrade the RaidID, and all three groups will pick up from 2/5, all on different IDs. The fight mechanisms will be near the same minus a few things.

Heroics still exist and are like a mix of Icecrown Citadel and Ulduar Hard mode. You can enter right away by setting the Raid to Heroic (ICC-like). Certain bosses are only available in 10/25 Heroic Mode, and must be reached/achieved (Ulduar-like)

I don't see then how progression is ruined. If anything it sounds much more flexible than before. I remembered the shytty days of Molten Bore and trying but failing to get through Naxx when raiding was at its most inflexible.

I agree, it is way more flexible. Vanilla raiding was terrible.

There were however, a few elements of Wrath that I didn't like. Things felt too easy. I never had to use crowd control, EVER. From what beta players of Cataclysm say, you need to learn how to use crowd control and kiting again.
