Couple DB + crit ring mechanics questions
#1
I noticed 2 strange things with the crit ring and my DB

1. Using fatal blow with a crit ring makes the 1st and 5th hit do the same damage, without the ring they are not. Any idea why this is ?
2. When I'm using mirror image, sometimes the auto kill is triggered, but the monster doesn't die. I assume it's because it triggered on a mirror image hit and so it only does a lower % of the total hp on the monster?

not having anything to do with crit ring, but is triple stab mirror image supposed to hit 2 blade and 1 dagger attack?

I thought Triple Stab was 2 dagger 1 blade regardless?

Most likely they coded all Mirror Image hits like doing 100% base damage, and then multiply the final damage by 0.6...

This would cause a 100% monster HP kill to trigger 60% monster HP hit... still bugged, but that would explain this...

Id think MI+TS would give 4 and 2 (dagger/blade).

I mean the mirror image hits. they look like they are 2 blade 1 dagger, because the one in the middle is stronger. the part of my attacks is always 2 dagger 1 blade.

it's as if the dagger/blade is determined by a mod 2 of the attack number; and since triple stab is odd numbered, the MI hits are reversed on the weapon.

Well, since attacks on Dual Blades always alternate, the MI hitting 2 blade 1 dagger would make sense, considering the last hit on regular TS is a dagger hit. That's probably what MI does for all skills, not reverse the pattern, just continue on with the regular pattern, ie; (TS)Dagger > Blade > Dagger > (TS with MI, continuing with pattern)Blade > Dagger > Blade.

So instead of 4/2, you get 3/3 because of the Dual Blade attack pattern.

The thing you mentioned with Fatal Blow is a problem with Savage Blow too. I think it happens when an attack hits more than a certain number of times.
