Now that I've experienced 1-120 on my dual blade character, I revised my SP builds to what I think is much more effective. Feel free to criticize them or ask a question.

10 Double Stab
Explanation: 10 double stab is needed for triple stab, and none of the other 1st job skills are immediately useful. The rest of your SP is best saved for the next job advancement.
Second Job

Explanation: Although dumping into triple stab directly would give more average damage than going mastery first, youre mainly concerned with stability during these levels trying to consistently kill a monster in x amount of hits, so overkilling wont be of much help. 6 triple stab to start off for the third target, then mastery for the consistency. If you need dark sight for party quests and such, take a few points for it.
Explanation: Triple stab will still be your best mob skill until level 70, so focus first on self haste to improve your mobility. Slash storm is a decent mob skill with farther range than triple stab along with being the first skill that moves you, so get that next to integrate it into your training for even better mobility and mob damage. Fatal blow then comes next after your training skills as a strong single-target skill. After that, get nimble body for the extra accuracy and avoid. Warning: Do not go beyond 15 nimble body, or you wont have enough SP for your needed skills later on.

Explanation: Tornado spin and flash bang are not very good skills, so max flash jump for mobility and save the rest of your SP for the next job advancement. Tornado spin gives you a nice rushing skill, but you get flying assaulter anyways in a few levels. 1 point is good enough for a 55-69 rushing skill to create triple stab mobs. Flash bang wont be useful until you start bossing, or for training, when you get thorns (critical flash bang actually does enough damage to finish off far-away monsters decently). Some people consider leaving flash jump unmaxed and saving up more SP for a head start, but I would recommend against this because you will need a very high level (something like 18+?) flash jump for it to have enough vertical range to be chained to flying assaulter.
Explanation: At the beginning of 3rd+, youll most likely be training at horizontally-oriented large, mobby maps, such as kents, bains, galloperas, or himes, so get 10 bloody storm immediately so that you can chain it to flying assaulter. The FA + BS chain will be your main training combination in early 3rd+. FA into a mob, BS out of it, then turn around and do the same thing again. Theres no need for tornado spin this early because most likely, youll be too weak to need to add more monsters to the mob, which will require a lot of FA + BS combos to kill. After getting flying assaulter and bloody storm, getting mirror image to 11, where it jumps up by 10%, will help your damage for those skills. At this point, your mobs may start to thin out quickly, so get max tornado spin to chain with FA to gather mobs until you have enough to kill with FA + BS. As you get stronger, youll be able to kill things fast enough to simply FA + TS across a map, so upper stab comes next for the added damage to your mobs and to clean up strays without flying around. Then, finish off mirror image for the added damage to all your skills as well as owl spirit for the occasional shots at higher damage. After that, its mostly about preparing for 4th job. Flash bang will be very helpful at group bosses, and although dark sight and advanced dark sight are completely useless at this point, they will become useful later on after you get chains of hell and final cut.
I capped triple stab at 6 for more nimble. 20% damage difference isn't very noticeable imo (unless you really stat whore and watch every digit of damage). I can 2hko STDs at mid 4x with no att equips aside from dagger/katara (and level 3 blessing). 1-30 takes maybe 4 hours with that DB quest chain. 30-40 is doable in a few hours if you do the mushroom kingdom quest. 40-70 takes about a week playing 4-6 hours a day with that 2x DB event.
Slash Storm and Fatal Blow really aren't all that great. I find myself using Triple Stab the most out of anything. I wouldn't really suggesting shafting it for Nimble Body. Dark Sight is just.....meh, maxing it won't do you much good with a Dual Blader.
Slash Storm into mobs and Triple Stab to finish them off.
Dark Sight is only useful after 3rd job and for Advanced Dark Sight, which is needed anyway. Just dump your points saved after you max Flash Jump into it, or get a few points into it just for caution and then max it later when you want Advanced Dark Sight.
Would it be viable to drop 6 out of fatal blow and max mastery + nimble body. I was trying to plan out my skill build so much, but I figured I could get to 4th before MSBB, have a mass SP reset, and just assign all the points i want into passive skills/kills that aren't replaced later i.e. double stab, triple stab
Or do the ellin forest build and drop 9 from flash bang?

I got to level 30 in 2 hours with a Dual Blader with only 10 Double Stab. lol

One question --- How do even get a character from 1 - 30 in 2 hours? Even with my best funding and most dedication to grinding on 2x EXP, my fastest was maybe just under 6 hours, not counting post-Big Bang characters.
Secondly, Triple Stab is much, much more efficient for training than anything until 70ish when you get Upper Stab. Slash Storm as a stand-alone skill is not nearly strong enough to optimize your character and leveling speed.

The Astaroth quests we have are a god send, they can literally get you all the way to 30 within an hour if you did it really fast.

Oh, yes, I know. I only did it for the Explorer medal. Going from 20 to 30 with only DS was hell, there is no way I would go from 30 - 70 without Triple Stab. Since Slash Storm is a mob luring skill for the most part.

i'm level 53 already...and i only play ~3 hours everyday probably train for 2 hours

that's if u have weak gear, My slash storm hits ~3k on each mob at level 50
I know i'd probably hit 7-8k with triple but w/e idc
ShiKage Wrote:You mean 6. Six booster is the average for any build, as a one minute time frame for booster is perfect until you can max it.
Edit : wait, what... I just saw what you meant. lol
Why is there 5 booster instead of 6? 6 is the average choice.
Six is the average choice because six is exactly two levels of SP, and having one extra SP added somewhere else makes almost no difference for pretty much every character at the levels they're learning Booster, especially pre-Big Bang.
