Are 2 Bonus Items Junk?

It definitely happens, I can assure all of you of that. Had a White Fang that I Pot scrolled, and it was 2 stats. 3 Cubes later, bam, 3 stats PLUS epic. Perhaps the stat increases only increase during an upgrade?

Because two guys got together and said to each other "Hehehe, let's screw with all these people by lying about equips going from 2 stats to 3 when cubing". It's obviously a rare random chance. Though I don't think it only happens during an upgrade, I could be wrong though.

For all you know, there is a chance that all this is an epic troll attempt, not necessarily involving the participants communicating with each other and/or agreeing on anything at all. It all just needs an idea, and a pioneer.
Though, I'm very much inclined to believe those three, thus my wish for concrete evidence. No accusations here, honestly.

I have an EStaff7 with 2 stats right now (4% INT and something else). I will be cubing it to 3 stats. You will have your proof.

I have thrown close to 80 cubes on my shoes (took ~70 to go rare -> epic and ~10 epic -> unique) and it is still 2 stats. If there is a chance cubes can increase the number of stats it is too minimal to waste money on.

I would much rather prefer 3 stat items, but with the amount of NX I have spent getting 2 stat items to where they are, I think I'll stick to 2 stats. Items that can easily be found (cape/earrings) I will get to 3 stats. I already have 3 stat sword earrings, been hunting for a cape with no luck...

Let's just say I've used at least 450 cubes (~250 of which when unique) on 2-option items and none of them have changed to 3 miraculously. I have yet to hear anyone with similar success.

In response to the topic title, assuming you have massive amounts of nx to toss around, I think the best course of action would be to mass maker the equipment you want with basic crystals, spam 70%s on them until you get a 3-liner, then cube that to death, then scroll, the throw on one enhance, and you're done, unless you've already invested over max mesos or something worth on an existing piece of equipment. Of course, you'll have to hunt for your cape/earring.

Almost agree, except I'd scroll before cubing. Scrolling can fail and destroy your equip (or just render it unfit by stat whore standards), cubing can't.

Normal scrolling is pretty insignificant compared to potentialing except for weapons, so just go with 60%s for safety or 50% with or without white scrolls if you really need those stats.

I would personally scroll+enhance before cubing for a weapon. ;s

Agreed. I have used very close to your number and I have not received any line upgrade at all.

I was sad (at first) that both my dagger and shield came out two stats but those really are irreplaceable items. I disagree that all 2 stat items are junk; how unrealistic is it to replace a 37 atk 15% luk (9 & 6 on a two slotter) shield just because it is 2 slots? You have to draw a line for yourself at some point on what is or is not worth keeping with 2 stats and I believe perfect items/extremely good equips fall under that category. Tops/Bottoms/Overall/Gloves are the really easily replaceable ones. Capes/Shoes/Belts will differ from player to player depending on how great theirs were from before the patch.

While we're on this topic, can I remind you guys to keep record of your cubing so that we can have concrete evidence if 2stat can be upgraded to 3?

Well i used over 300 Cubes on 2 stat Items ( 700+) in total.
The stat lines never changed for me. I doubt its possible... Oh and and i roughly used 40-60 on every Unique 2 stat Item ( 4 of my 8 Unique are with 2 stats i guess, cant say for its SC atm f3). Also the glasses never changed the stats in terms of adding one completly new stat to my Gear.

the only thing i really, REALLY wouldn't touch with potential scrolls is my nose. i don't care that some stuff has 2 bonuses and others have 3. i just know that i'm a lot stronger than i used to be already.

and for gloves with att also for shoes with att ( Shoes att 100% on purple SS lvl 80+ common Equipment. Hint: i guess they will raise soon in terms of price)

That's basically what I was planning on doing for Gloves/Shoes. It's very easy to beat my SCG and FS that way. Now if only I could sell my SCG/FS to get enough funds to start making new Gloves/Shoes xD.

my time spent on this forum is minuscule compared to the time you ppl spend getting perfect equips

To answer the question rather then responding to the typical "Why you waste your time" player. It really does depend on the equipment. My smiling mask only came up with two stats, do you think I'll be able to find another tradeable one to risk another 90% potential on? Probably not. On a glove and a cape? Yeah I would resell to invest into a 3 stat.
