Have drop rates gone up?
#1
I trained at roids today for roughly 20 minutes and I got 13 equips, 2 of which had potential, one of which was a brown china (Lv. 50 male thief top) that gave +2% hp and +3 luk (+7 total).

Is this normal?

Equip drop rates were increased by 10x and scroll drop rates were increased by some amount (not sure). This is part of the potential system.

Only for equips, yes.

It's their counter measure for having a new way of having items. STUFF FOR EVERYONE.

That's pretty great. Items drop more often, and even regular drops of stuff that we considered crap before could turn out to be something useful.

It's permanent - it's a feature of the Item Rating System.

Not sure about World Tour areas, but everything else may come Unidentified.

Do want for next anniversary. Big Grin

I've gotten a huge pile of stuff, but since I was training my Dual Blader, it's all level 15. Now I am sad.

Still, the improved drop rate is nice. Can't wait to go somewhere with good drops.

The drop rates have gone up, but I think the price of them at the NPC have gone down. =[

One of the things I love most about it is you can actually go hunt your own gear and find it in a reasonable amount of time. It might not be godly, but at least you finally have something to use. I was planning to go hunt level 100 blades, but decided to go hunt griffey/manon first. Ended up finding a level 80, level 70, and 2 level 100 blades from kents/griffey on the free x2 drop buff.

This, before this patch it would be completely unthinkable for you to try to go find you own set of gear. Now, you can usually find 1 of each equip in an hour from a monster. Last night I was killing Homuns for the level 60 Katara, not only did I get what I needed, I got 5 of them as well as some nice 6 Luk clean earrings (potential'd). This patch has given a new light on this game, hunting for equips is actually FUN for me now, especially with the chance of hitting rich with Potential items.
