Chaos Zakum, how hard is it?
#21
If I am not wrong, spadow did mention that the chao zk and chao HT are down when big bang is out in kms.

So if we want to really down chao zk ot HT EASILY, we either need good plan or big bang to be out.

Everything's hard when you don't know what it is or have a game plan.

Steve said he had a pally mule, but he didn't want to bring it just to see what Chaos Zak would be like normally.

On the bright side, the arms do horrible touch damage (like 2k), so you could stand on them for a while when you're attacking the bottom arms. Honestly, I'm just disappointed that it's impossible for me to solo because of seduce.

Good, at least nexon's making it more fair and team oriented to make "big bosses" like these not soloable. Since theres big zakum and lil zakum now.

Chaos was meant to take adv of the new item system with % equips with good hp and atk. Not surprised even if a pro group fails at this stage a couple days right after the items have been released.

It wouldn't be fun if it wasn't challenging. I think it'll take some upgrading and good reflex to beat it. Certainly doable, but it might be a bit tough on the hp side.

We just tried a run with our normal HT squad. We got absolutely mauled within the first few mins. We knew what to expect, but it was just so chaotic and lag didn't help :/

iFrancisco Wrote:Same happened for us. We went in for fun with 7 attackers, 3 of which were level 200 ranged. They all died upon a dispel + attack at the same time. A few seduces later, the other warriors died and the lolShadower was left soloing himself Rolleyes

From what I noticed, seduce only pushes you right but you guys probably already knew that from KMS.

Note: Chaos Zak in on CH11 BTW, not CH10.

We went with an entire squad of like 20+ people.

You have to remember, GMS is full of gamer kiddies that like tanking things like they're ez. I'm going to call people are going to say IT NEEDS TO BE NERFED. I believe KMS took it down on the first day of it going official. But.. yeah. First hand experience is always the best experience, even if you know what to expect. Try, try again.

It's because people are damage mongers and pretty much ignore defense, you will see lots of failure from luckless NL wearing only bath towels and work gloves, those have next to no defense offered, where a fully equipped NL with 100+ armor on may stand a better chance.

Defense doesn't do anything. It's a crappy system.

unless they changed something...

defense still isn't that big of an issue atm as it only reduced dmg by a small amount. What's really killing people is the sed and dispel. Fight pap with a warrior and you'll see how annoying dispel can be. I'd see a problem if CZak was downed so easily.

Power dispelling = No mages at the boss. Talk about fair.

(not that there would be many mages with how are DPS pales in comparison, *waiting for BB so F/Ps will be kings under 50% MDRate*)

Bera took it down maybe half an hour ago, there are helms around.

Windia took it down a few minutes ago. Only had four parties, apparently.

No offense, but I actually like to know a boss can't be soloed. This game is already so ridiculous as compared to a few years ago that's it's nice to see they can still design mobs that require multiple people to down. Bossing was a lot more fun back before 4ths when you needed a lot of time and expert gameplay to actually succeed.

I can solo Pap in one warrior elixir and only 30 elixirs without being dispelled once.

We went with like 23 people and it took us down in around 10 minutes....

I assume the main body doesn't do anything other than touch damage until all arms are destroyed?

If so, then while the arms are up all you really have to worry about is...

Arm 1: Magic + 80% Dispel, Magic + 80% Crazy Skull (this is more of annoying than deadly though)
Arm 2: Magic + 100% Dispel, Magic + 80% Crazy Skull (again, more of annoying)
Arm 5: Whee, debuff arm. 70% 30 sec Seal (dangerous if you get dispelled as well), 70% 30 sec Darkness (more of annoying), 70% 30 sec Weakness, 15 sec Seduce.
Arm 6: Buff arm. Casts Attack UP, Magic UP, Def UP, MDef UP and heals.
(credits to Cyanne :p)

Okay, so it's mainly Dispels and Seduce. Obviously, the best course of action would be...

Take out Arm 5 -> Take out Arm 6 (because of Heal) -> Take out Arm 1/2 (Probably 2, because of the 100% Dispel) -> Take out the other one. Take out the others at your leisure. Good idea to take out Arm 3, the misting arm, ASAP.

CZK B1 isn't too much trouble; you can use potions while stunned (doesn't make sense, but yeah) and you can pot your way through 1/1 and Zombify too.

CZK B2 is where the problem starts. It starts to Dispel, albeit only at specific points of the fight. The main problem is the 6 sec Pot Lock. If your party's Bishop isn't quick enough in Dispelling, you'll probably die. The worst possible scenario would be for you to get hit by 1/1, Zombify AND Pot Lock (If you're even that unlucky). Though this is very unlikely unless the Bishop is slacking off (since each debuff accompanies an attack).

CZK B3's pretty much the same as B2, except that it hits harder and its debuffs last longer...oh, and Pot Lock is more likely to occur.

Same but with I/Ls. Do want 20% crit and actually good DPS.
