pre-potential equipment salvagable?
#1
the announcement doesn't say anything about using the system on existing equipment, only on new equipment or equipment that already has been ID'd. I'm a bit worried that everything I own is now garbage.

Magnifying Glass.

I feel like this has been answered in every thread today, but:
If you have an equip that isn't Rare, Unique, or whatever the other one is, you can use a potential scroll on it. This will make it Rare, or whatever. You then use a magnifying glass on that equip to get the extra effects.

Nothing is ruined. You'll be fine.

It isn't. You can still make your equipment unidentified via potential scrolls and the like. That's what they're for. The only difference now is that, when things drop, they'll have a chance of being unidentified from the get-go.

Edit:
Apparently I'm slow as fuh.

ok, that sounds reasonable. For once I didn't know what was going on, and I think that's the push in the right direction that I was looking for.

edit: my only concern is the whole BREAKING MY ITEM concept that i've now just paid attention to. Why would I want to fix my old items if it would break them?

There'd have to be a downside somewhere. If there wasn't at least a tiny risk there'd be no point in the system being in place, especially considering the stats attainable.

Don't potential your training equips just for the ambition of getting stronger. You have to get new gear and potential it well. When you get something as good or better, try using potential on your old gear. If it explodes, you still have gear to train. If it doesn't, you have better gear and you can sell your second equips. Even with 90% probability, this is the only safe way to not end up blowing your pomegranate and being left off in zero.

...forgetting that I could just as easily get NOTHING out of it in the first place, as making a regular item into a potential item doesn't mean it's going to be rare or better.

I didn't find one on 8 hours of 4x, but one of my friends found one in 15 minutes of hunting on 2x.

I found a equip enhancement scroll from rexton/cornian map. Passed it on my maple cannon shooter.

I still don't get why people say common class Items, especially ones that add WATTK (SCG, PAC, etc.) will be completely useless now....

Can anyone explain this concept to me? I feel like I'm missing something....

The lv 80 class glove can, in a perfect world, add 27% to a given (or all) stats.
Lv 10 common, WG, can add no more than 9. Lv 50, SCG, can add no more than 18.

Or a more general statement: Lv 71+ gear has more bonuses available than the lower leveled gear.

I just want to share with everyone what I just saw on the chat log of Broa.

Crimson Arcglaive
+30% damage against bosses
+6% all stats
+6% dex

Holy crap.

Also. Is it only me or are every item getting the rare rank? I have identified like 7 lvl 30- equips, and all of them turned out to be rare.
edit: OH wait. Rare is the lowest rank right? o_o

Rare>Unique>Epic or something like that?

A small fraction of the equips you find from drops will be unidentified. The rest will be just like they would before patch, same stats as they usually have.
