Have you heard the news? It seems that Forum Volunteer XgrantwalXx is going to hit level 200 in MapleStory and he's inviting everybody to see it live on the Broa server or via streaming video! Check it out and the MapleStory wishes our soon-to-be 200 the best of luck!

Yeah, it happened today. It was kinda funny since there were no smegas immediately after he hit 200, then people in my guild started to feel sorry for him and smegaed >.>

i kinda wish he was being dc hacked at the time he was tryin to hit 200, maybe then they'd realize how most of us other players have to play.

im not trying to be mean to grant. ive known him for a long time, though i havent spoken to him in awhile. but what about the other hundreds of level 200s who got nothing for leveling? cept a blue notice. he's getting a streaming video feed and advertisement from nexon because he likes to post on their forum alot and backs them up when something goes wrong.

Agreed. Showing favoritism for one person was not a wise choice for Nexon.

Well, i would like to think that nexon is making this a permanent addition to the mapletimes news letter- Yes, it can be seen as favoritism but i know that if i wanted to launch a new "community section" of mapletimes then i would do it with the safe bet.

As for my 200 Event, it was my own thing. I posted my event image I created on the forums, I'm live streaming it myself (using xFire), and I posted it on the forum simply to invite some forum friends from over there, and anyone else who wanted to come who might see it. I also tweeted it for my twitter followers. I was extremely surprised when I had a friend tell me to check the Maple Times and I saw my name and event mentioned. I don't know Nexons reasoning behind their choice but it wasn't my intention, and I don't know why I should be punished for something beyond my control.

Anyways, to those who have said nice things, thanks for the support.

Good luck with this. I'm sure you'll have a fair share of DC hackers to deal with when you start streaming.

4th job's only been out for about 2.5 years. Can't really stereotype like that even with the "ultimate" skills.
I mean some of us like to take it real easy like and not rush things.

I've been playing since April 2006, and my main character only just hit 180 today LOL

@Dark Link: You're right on the money.
I've always taken my time, and never really was going all out for 200. To me, it's more about the experience than the end result. In fact, I really never had hoped to hit 200.

I only play for fun, and when I got bored, I took breaks. I've taken quite a few breaks in my time, one being over a year in length, so while it may be a bit late to hit 200, I wanted to do it on my own terms, and without rushing as so many others do.

@Phoenix: Doubtful, I've brought up the DC hacking issue a few times on Nexons forums myself, and nothing has come from it. This is my own event, and Nexon is not affiliated with it other than making note of it to the public. If DC hackers do decide to wreak havoc, I'll just have to postpone things. But, I honestly hope they leave well enough alone and let me enjoy something I've worked for.

He helps a shetton on the forums, he tried to help me when I had that login problem (about a week before they fixed it)?
Was interesting seeing someone pretty smart on that forum, and his signature was just so nicely put together.
