Back to maple, need a little help deciding
#1
So im back! Im going to be playing in kradia, less people, from what i hear a good community. I wont have any funding pretty much, i know a couple people there that might help me out, but idk. So i need to know what class to pick, it needs to level pretty quick ,and not cost a ton, but i can find money for pots if i need too. Clerics level fast, but i mean, do they still level the fastest with training places other than mp3 out there now, i can see then not being #1 anymore.

In comparison with other classes now, Clerics don't even level at what you could call a fast pace anymore. Not proportionally to many other classes, at least. They nerfed the party exp system(or made it less beneficial for leechers) so that that whole dk/priest thing isn't so good anymore.

F/P Wizards level quite fast to 3rd job(if not THE fastest thanks to the new 3-hit fire arrow), and we all know how good poison misting IN 3rd job is. F/P's are still mages though and going luk-mage is silly right now so you'd have to be shelling out some dough for int equips. Gunslingers are pretty cheap classes to play, their high-tier bullets aren't even 1/100th the cost of Stars of the same value, and the equips pretty bearable.

Gunslingers are one of the top trainers in CPQ, roughly as fast as F/P Wizards. They really depend on good gear though.

F/P mages are the fastest hands down. I went 1 - 71 in 3 days, and after 7x when you get maxed mist it's the easiest job to train to 120. Arans are also pretty fast.

All of my friends who play in kradia don't like it, just saying.

I wouldn't count out the lukless i/l wizard that goes lightning first in 2nd job, then Ice strike in 3rd. They are pretty sick in speed also.

Nothing compared to fire arrow training at CPQ, then poison breath at Twisted Jesters.

Truckers with maxed lightning and lukless stat build says hi. And then gallos with icestrike for later levels.

Poison breath at Twisted Jesters says what took you so long to get here?

I have trained both a lukless i/l and a f/p, and I assure you that more time will be spent finding empty jester maps to poison than actual training getting done.

The places you train as an i/l are much less crowded in general.

You're on Bera, while I'm on Mardia and the OP said that he's going to be in Kradia. I can find at least 5 empty Twisted Jester maps on Mardia at almost any given time, and according to my friends Kradia is even more empty.

Any other arguments?

Truckers, which is easily surpassed by Rombots in CPQ, is not exactly "less crowded", even in Demethos.

and Gallops? Good luck with that, I/L Magicians will be easily ksed by the Aran, Evan, Bishop, and Archmage assault, thats IF you can find a channel.

Twisted Jesters is usually quite empty compared to other maps, as a majority of other classes do better in either MP3 or Windraiders, although leechers may pose a threat, its no where near the trouble it was pre-aran.

F/p's can make use of Skele MD or train outside the MD starting at 8x, which means no Ksing problems.(provided you haven't pissed anyone off)

F/p's have it great when it comes to training speed and map availability, and this was even increased with the balance which makes them godly pre-jester and even increases training when you move on to jesters and skeles, the only downside is the much higher pot cost and death rate compared to other classes, which lowers nicely when you abuse Slow/Seal and have decent control.

I/L magicians aren't the slowest class, but they are far from the fastest, and won't even compare to a F/p that knows how to use poison.

if you don't mind monstertons of quests, Evans are pretty good, when youre not questing, its pretty fast and even then, the story is awesome.
If you don't want to deal with quests, do F/P or gunslinger.

So, a couple people mentioned gunslinger, i made one when i played a long time ago, it was weak and slow lvling. Are they quicker to level now? I made one and got to level 17 in an hour, and i could easily deside i want to go for 3rd in a strait shot, but ive heard 3rd for gs is helish, ive also seen people do it in a weak. Im not too intrested in f/p mages, mages are usually not my thing. So, asumming gs are not too slow, where would one train from like 30-70? Those seem to be the worst levels.

I played a brawler to get my ring mule, and I find them much more interesting than most other classes. They're a bit slow at training at the start of second job because of the need to max increasing max HP, but they really pick up around mid 4x. CSB+FF/SSK+CSB etc means very little HP potion use, but their MP pot consumption is a bit high. But what class doesn't have high MP consumption these days?

And yes, third job Gunslinger is hell. Maybe after big bang update it'll be alright, but you're stuck with burst fire and not much else helps till fourth job. If you did decided to go slinger, do Mushroom Kingdom from 30-about 33, some other stuff to get to 35 (it's not that hard), then Kerning Square quests should get you to 38 or so. CPQ if you can, since it has no pot cost and that might be an issue starting anew. Then you could probably just go to Magatia and train at various monsters there till 70. I don't know how good the new double shot is, if it is better than invisible shot until invisible shot is at a certain level.
