How do you usually configure your keyboard?
#1
Just a curiosity.
How do you guys configure your keyboard?

I always use main attacks on Control/Delete.
Buffs on Page Up/Down/End [Or if I have a lot of buffs (private servers) I put them on the top numbers (1,2,3,4,5..)]
Chairs on A and D
Flash Jump on Space
Teleport/Combat Step on Shift
Mounts on X
Health Potions on Insert
Mana potions on Home
And then I usually keep everything else the same. S for ability, K for skills, R for buddy list.

What about you guys?

Whenever I create a new character, I ALWAYS set these:
Jump = Space
Ability = A
Skills = S
Main attack = D
Sit button (default X) = ~
NPC Chat button = Y
Whisper = -
Chat = =
Monster Book = O
Family = U

And then as I gain levels:
Chair = .
Secondary attack(s) = T, C, V, Ctrl, Alt, Shift
Booster = F
Teleport = X
Flash Jump = C
HP Pots = Del
MP Pots = Ins
Buffs = Home, End, Pup, Pdn
Mount = Insert, depending on what else it's being used for.

I think that's about it. Big Grin

EDIT: Oh and loot stays on Z for me.

Stuff's random for me, lol.

Attacks: CTRL, A, Del, Shift.
Potions: Page Up/Down.
Buffs are pretty much everywhere else... where-ever there's room. :f6:
And everything else (menus, inventory, buddy list, etc) is default.

Yeah, I'm pretty lame.

My default is a warped version of the default.
Quest go on 1, World Map on 2, Buffs on 3-8
0 is Alliance chat
- Guild screen
= Guild chat
[ Buddy, ] buddy chat
; party, ' party chat
c is All chat
~ gets whispers
E is loot
Alt is jump
HP Potion on PgDn
MP on End
Chair on Home
Main attack on A
secondaries on Q, S, D, F, R, T, et cetera
The skilless attack goes to Z when I'm done with it
Equip goes to U
items on I
Skills on K
Ability to J
Family to L
Medals to O
Sit to v
NPC chat to Y (I can hold it down to auto-accept quest and skim through the chat)
Chat + and the side thing with my potions are on ? and >, but I never remember which is which so it's set randomly.

~off the top of my head.

Usually it's buffs on W, E, R, T and main attacks on the ASDF row. Secondary/rarely used skills go on X,C,V,B and Jump goes on Space. If I'm playing my Evan, Teleport is on Space and Jump goes on D. All cooldown skills/pots go on the quick slot.

Buddy/Guild/Party are on P, [, and ]. Inventory and Equipment are on I, O respectively. Skill window on K and stats on L.

Space for jump (thumb)
Most common attacks in the A/S/D/F/G area (Other fingers on ASDF)
Less common attacks around E/R/T
Buffs generally on XCVB, QW, or Shift
Menu shortcuts all over the other side of the keyboard
Pots all over hotkeys

Used to go lolstandard but after playing my gunslinger I've switched to a WASD-type set up that goes something like this:

Jump-S
Main attack-A (in my sair's case RF)
Secondary attack-Shift (in my sair's case cannon, remembered to take out sticky keys)
Attack-Ctrl
Transformation skill-x (ship, dark sight, mount, etc etc)
Pick-up-Z
Booster-Insert (I play on a laptop by the way)
Attack Pot-DEL
HP Pot-Home
MP Pot-PgUp
Stats-J
Quests-7
Map-8
Maker-9
Family-0
Equips-O

So on and so forth. I fill up the rest of the keys around my left hand with skills however I see fit (for example, with my sair IS is on Q, wings is on W, Torp is on E, Homing is on R, IS+FT macro is on D, Air Strike is on F, RS+Wings combo is on C, Octo is on V, Recoil Shot on Space, Sommersault Kick on End...whew! Probably gonna be this crowded on my dit too). I'll post a screen later.
