KMS defeats Pink Bean!
#21
Stereo Wrote:Green 'R' character (Noore) is a Resistance?

I guess probably a Battle Mage, buffin the hell out of everybody.

It's actually an 'A' for Archer. I thought it was an R at first too but it was beside a BM's name in my Zakum squad.

So those icons are green for Archer, red for Warrior, purple for Thief, and grey for Pirate?

Doubtful, since after 1 hour PB starts spamming genesis.

I believe you mean after one hour, you get kicked out of the map.

fiftyschmooo Wrote:lol, not the fact that OMG ITS BEATABLE NOW WTP more about the fact that it was the last salvo they could throw at us and to me, it should take an army of lvl 200's a long time to kill it, and these guys downed it like rigth after a patch, this tells me that they havge buffed chars up to much and havent done the approperate alterations to the existing monsters and bosses that should have been needed. To me, there should always be 1 boss that is toooooooo strong for anyone to kill unless you get the top 30 guys in the server to down it(which will never happen because Maple is one of the stops for the drama llama express) and should always be fun to play with.

So basically you want an unbeatable boss.

Also, Resistance isn't in KMS yet. Just think of what it'll be like with Battle Mages. Heart

I wouldn't count this as an original kill. KMS gained too much power and managed to overpower it.

JMS however, did it with style and original formulas. IMHO they're the ONLY server that has truly defeated Pink Bean.

That was only a small boost. (30 at Max)

KMS got major power boosts out the Yin Yang.. (Over 200+)

If killing a boss with everyone doing 500k per second counts as an achievement...

Also, regarding the pets, oh pineapple... Let me enlight people with HOW those pets work.
Do you think that you just buy the pet from CS and it comes with a +30 stat bonus?!

First of all, the pet costs TWICE the other pets cost, and comes with NO SKILLS. To get the first equipment, you must pay 700NP (7kNX) on an item and redeem with garnox. Let me explain how this work. The first equipment makes your pet cast spells on monsters, that spell DOESN'T WORK on bosses.

Second, the formula for stat bonus for the first equip is Pet level /2 = stat bonus. And to get the second equip, it's even harder. You must get a recipe from Gachapon, it's pretty rare. And turn in with Garnox with a chance of failing. You can buy them on FM for 20m, note that the failing chance is high, i've used more than 70m on such recipes and it failed all these times. The second equipment is Pet level = Stat bonus, to get a 30 stat bonus, your pet must be level 30, do you guys have any idea on how pineappleing hard is to make a pet Level 30?

My pet, in months, is only level 14, meaning my equip only gives me a 7/7/7/7 bonus. With weaker Zhelms, no apples, only 25 attack potions, wasn't the JMS Anzu battle fair?

You can't even compare an apple effect to those buffs. Or are you trying to say a 30/30 bonus gives you more attack than 100 ATT? Almost all of GMS runs, all the members had apples in their inventory and used them, and still failed, which means you need strategy to beat Pink Bean, not damage.
JMS run was completely fair, these pets helped, but it's not something you can compare. When there are even Shoes Attack scrolls available, Mark of Naricain, 15/15/15/15 Zakum Helmet...

Actually, versions are different, they have their own equipment, and it will always be like that. So, please, it's better not to make this thread a version vs version thread, what happens with a lot of threads that compare versions. :X

I know in Bera GMS that it took like ... a week or so to down HT after it came out... and it was supposed to be this HUGE ANGRY BOSS OF ULTIMATE ULTIMUMNESS!!! now the Zakum release in GMS Bera was much better, it took several months, with several failing runs where lots of people dc'd or died in the process.

I Believe a boss should be hard and challeneging to your skills and abilities, like it used to be. Hell i remember when Ludi first came out, trying to down Pap with 2 parties of people lvl 100-120ish... now look... i can take my Hero there solo and down the thing in a few mins... even kill the thing so much faster with my Corsair or even solo a zakum in liek an hour.

I dunno i just have expectations of a boss run to be hard, not something you kill repeatidly to make money thats so friggin easy to down. And as they increase character damage i think they should increase bosses hp(or defence) or add something to it to make it more challenging to the masses.

Silly Ben, Horntail took a lot longer than a week for Bera to kill. It was closer to a month after quite a few failed attempts. Besides, Pink Bean has been out for a long time. The point of a boss isn't to be impossible, it should be able to be beaten with adequate preparation. Besides, the fall of Pink Bean just paves the way for more "impossible" bosses to emerge and fall with time.

shoes for attack didn't really make that much of a difference in the community (since they were rare AND were only available for like a month).

granted we do have better attack boosting items, i believe the only reason no one has tried again is because GMS tends to like auto banning people in pink bean. At least that's what has happened the past few times right?

It's not even really the damage that's the problem for gMS, it's the vista/windows 7 incompatability, autobans, and dc hacks mostly. Also, the amount of energy drinks that still exist is very limited, and most gMS groups aren't as heavily hp washed since there's not as much pressure as there is in jMS to do so because of neo tokyo and that toad boss and whatnot.

Was hoping that they finally would after the Big Bang updates. Grats to them.

I'm just surprised they didn't do it before the BB updates. The potential stuff was more than enough of an upgrade. What took 'em so long?

GMS, could beat PB if they were organized. Enough said.

Tell that to Windia's PB runs.

Exactly the point he was trying to make.

It's not fair to blame it on lack of organization when dc hacking, a/b'ing, vista/win7 compatibility cripples squads chances.
Too many things out of the runners hands to blame it on them.

I'm not saying it is their fault, all that is a huge issue, but you can't say "it's impossible JMS is better whine whine whine dam'n 30 stat pets" as an excuse. You guys have the materials to do it. More then enough. You just have to get a clean, issue-less run with a legitimate strategy and organization.

Hard to do when you need to find replacements for 1/4 of the runners due to vista/win7, dc hackers are asking for 200mil per person not to disconnect the run, and Nexon is still screwing up with the autobanning.
