It depends on how they coded it obviously. If they don't even perform boundary checks like negative numbers they're probably shoddy with other checks too.

Take input from player = x
Check if player has more than x * allcure price mesos if not then stop transaction
take away x * allcure price mesos from player
give player x allcures

If you enter a negative number for x it'd pass the meso check. If there's no second check when giving all cures (and why would you 'cause its giving not taking), it could just fail silently on the giving part.

From what I recall, the NPC's number input has a few types. The one Alcaster uses may be limited to +- 128 (signed single byte int) in which case it would be fine cause the most you can get at a time is ~700k mesos.


Ore refinery dudes are a bigger concern - do you really want someone receiving 1000 dark crystal ores and 10,000,000 mesos? If you can have him un-make 128 Black Crystals at a time, Balanced Furies are gonna kill the star market.

You can't create a party (seems dumb and pointless given the purpose of the trade block, but it's Nexon I guess), but this really doesn't matter since you can just invite anyone without a party to auto-create a party. That's how I always create parties in the first place anyways. You can also create expeditions.

Their complete rollback during this last crisis leads me to beleive that they really have no way of determining the source of mesos.

So I'm pretty sure when our accounts are returned, everything will be wiped.

Could be a false alarm, I don't know, I'm just paranoid, maybe.

Are your items intact? I still can't get on.

Items are intact, they deleted my wedding ring.
I got most of my mesos from even before the hack, everything reset to 10k.
All skills are reset to 0 SP and no AP to put it in.

I guess I'm glad it was a mule of mine that got blocked....because that would leave me very pissed. And What of any compensation?

They do realize these mesos got passed around which is why they have innocent people complaining right?
So hackers still have the items they bought and everyone who received mesos lost it all, seems fair. I know there's been no confirmation of hackers keeping the items but it's not looking good.

Every exploit winds up like this it seems. Take advantage and unload the item before the sc and you're fine.

wow, lost 1 bil in inventory...i know it wasnt all bad meso....all my skills are gone, my b-list shows i have 0 slots open. They never gave me a db slot, nor a way to get a free lv 30 db....this patch SUCKS i have 10k mesos T_T

This on my Bowmaster, and im also missing 1.5bil from storage which was meso that was gained from well before this meso glitch. Logged a ticket, but hey, I might as well be banned properly. All this for daring to sell items in FM.

So far nothing has happened to me. I still have all my items, mesos, AP, SP, etc etc. I'm missing nothing for now...
