- Mirror image hits do 80% damage range
- Final cut is 2x non-mirrored damage

- Mirror image only hits 7 times on fatal blow and only 3 times on chains of hell
- Thorns criticals are only +250% on non-mirrored hits Oh? And this is all pre-Big Bang?
Well even if I were to do an update, it would quickly become obsolete because of the Big Bang updates. I think we'll work on those instead. The annoying part is going to be figuring out how to work in +% equipment. Maybe I'll just add another box that says +% mainstat, +% attack, and +% damage somewhere off to the side and not change anything else. Doing it fairly and dynamically will be a headache...

Isn't Advanced Dark Sight not only a form of Vanish (Night Walker) without the damage bonus, to speed up multiple Chains of Hell, since you have the chance to stay inside of Dark Sight? :o

Yeah, it's all pre-revamp. And there will still be quite a few months before it, so as long as it doesn't take like over an hour to update, it should still be worth seeing I guess given the higher relevance it now has to gMS.

Yeah, that's what it does o_o Notice how both combos end in chains of hell, so 24.01% of the time, you'd stay in dark sight and do another chains of hells, and 75.99% of the time, you'd have to fatal blow in the chains delay then use chains again. It's 24.01% because the chain pull and chain attack both count as attacks and opportunities for advanced dark sight to fail.

Sorry, I think we're both too lazy to do it
I'll try to get around to it this weekend if I remember.

4thdps v2.13 (Excel 2007)

So it turns out that they do much less damage when Final Cut isn't active, which is a shame. But then when it is active, they're quite a bit more powerful than they were before. It ends up balancing out so that they're slightly stronger on average than they were before I updated the calc.

Done. Appears that Blast is just slightly more powerful than Brandish on neutral 1v1.

In terms of skill percents, right now, Blast = 942.5% on neutral, Brandish = 988%. So it's with the BB I guess.

The tables were last updated July 14 and do not represent anything that's changed in Big Bang. Wild Hunters and Battlemages have not been added. I left Lightning-weak on when I made that statement about Blast being stronger than Brandish.
The only thing I've changed regarding Big Bang so far is redesigning the Analysis page to include the new classes and look nicer in general. I don't plan on making any changes to what we have here until GMS gets Big Bang. When it hits Tespia, I will likely make a research thread listing what needs to be tested, asking for suggestions on things we can test, etc. Also, since potential has crushed the whole "average damage" thing and mages no longer have their own wonky damage formula, the tables will likely be based on relative strength of attacks rather than actual numbers. It should be a simple comparison of (stats) * (attack) * (skills).
Also, probably won't bother including Snipe at all.

I can live with that.

Because after BB it hits 500k on bosses and you're easily able to make ultistrafe hit more than that with good gear. so it hinders DPS

Actually it was because it's impossible to work a fixed damage skill into a comparison based on percentages, but I think I can make it work.

Which warrior class would do the most DPS after BB? Will it still be Aran?
