Masteria Expansions, Names and the proof for each
Actually, it isn't gravity that keeps us from being left behind in space as the earth rotates... it's momentum.

So if, as Afrobean said, the time traveling matter is affected by forces, then it would continue being affected by its circular momentum around the sun and etc.

Then again, the fact that you're going backward complicates things. If you were standing on a particular brick in Helios Tower, and you rewind back to when Helios was being built, you'd be carried back to wherever that brick came from.

Wouldn't it be inertia that keeps us on the earth? We would certainly have momentum from the earth, but isn't it the whole 'object in motion stays in motion' idea that explains it. I'm not really too sure on that...

But I just assumed that whatever device you used to travel though time would have some sort of inertia/momentum canceling device should you want to stay in the same physical spot you started in (in a different time), otherwise you would have to be in a different spot. I guess it would have to be built to move things in the 3ed dimension, which I would find to be infinitely more practical that staying in the same spot.
Afrobean Wrote:I always figured that the tower coincided with a point in the heights of the trees of the forest.
I would go for that if Altair Camp appeared to be in the trees, but from all appearances wandering through there it's on solid ground.

Well, if the height was an issue, couldn't that part of the forest stretch a bit further north?
A slight change of elevation could change the situation. You also got the land masses that would appear later and eventually support the Eos and Helios towers of the Ludibrium kingdom.

Then again, it could be one of the many things that leave us with no idea how they could work.
The library's currently active section on Korean Folk Tales is an example of this.
about the T-1337 triferium dialog, it's the same

mmm, so I've been told. I'm getting ready to perform that restructuring I mentioned earlier so as to have more room in the first post for all the new things we've learned, so I'll fix that shortly.
also about stirgeman, as a warning to those who wish to attempt it: DON'T!!! he's EVIL pure EVIL he already took the lives of two i repeat TWO of my stirge on a strings (though i did get a swooping stirge out of him =D) also should i upgrade the cape cuz i want the cape of wiliness, but i have the cape of darkness. should i risk it for 110 extra hp/mp?
IsaacGS Wrote:You still have to deal with the fact that Helios Tower is like thousands of feet above ground level so if you respawned in the past at the exact same physical location you'd have quite a fall.
30 fall damage... no big deal. Cool

(sorry, I couldn't resist being a smartass)
Anyoneisgod has provided us with yet another piece for the puzzle:
 Spoiler
(Ergoth's Jaw description. That only leaves Tengu's Nose!)

wow, though. Who could Ridley be talking about? He seems to be recounting a tale that ends in tragedy... as emotional as he was when referring to the Headless Horseman. We know it can't be the Alchemist, because Ridley says they never met. It also isn't LeFay, as it's male. This person, whomever he is, is someone that hasn't been introduced yet. I also am reminded of the tale of Shammos from the 4th job quest for mages. The only thing that really would preclude it being Shammos is the fact that his story was under the guidance of grendel.

the other possibilty... Could it be the Black Magician? That's certainly a force to be mournful over releasing.
This person could be Naricain, too.
The actual keep continues to look better. The 4 masters maybe as bosses then a final fight against black magician/nairican? SO EPIC

Wasn't Naricain a demon? :f6:

IsaacGS Wrote:Naricain:
A demon of the darkness. He seems to have been human at one point, but was eventually corrupted to the point of losing all humanity. Naricain created the Dark Scrolls and is constantly in battle with Subani. We don't know much about them, but apparently they were worshiped in the Nihal Desert in olden times, and were opposing forces.

Wink Much like Hobis, but corrupted in a bigger way, more like Zakum.

edit: What if Naricain is a summoned boss, and/or you have Subani to fight alongside you?

fighting alongside subani is something that we had speculated about before. It would definitely be unique.

The thing is, that Subani and Naricain, all signs indicate them having existed before Crimsonwood or anything. I mean, if their symbols are on the wall of a pyramid, that probably existed before Crimsonwood was established and at any rate, they certainly didn't have contact...

I'm pretty sure Subani sealed Naricain up, then he disappeared. But you never know with Masteria. XD Naricain might pop up as a boss sometime, like if somone broke the seal, though. You could summon him by breaking it, maybe! Tongue

Edit: Isaac beat me by a minute. Tongue
meh, maybe that person was Zakum...

Though I'm more convinced he was the Alchemist, if he and the Black Magician were separate people.
Glad i can spark a New Discussion.

Zakum's a tree, he's not really a person. Confused

The black mage was an alchemist, so he may be "The Alchemist." That's why we think he might be the same person.

Also, Ridley said he never met the Alchemist.
offtopic: I wonder what Krakia looks like now. The tech place we used to think it was, or a city of plant-people. (or is that Vineland, now?)

Anyways, was "the Alchemist" taught at CWK (from what we know), or did he learn his alchemy from a faraway land? (Magatia?)

We know for a fact that he wasn't at Crimsonwood, as he was already at work before Ridley's time and the two of them never met. Since we still don't know exactly at what point in time Magatia was the seat of the Black Magician's power or when the whole Elin thing happened it's hard to say.
