What will happen after the black mage?

When it comes to a Final boss in maple:

First remember tat zakum was supposed to be some kind of endboss? (even his theme is called the final battle)
Then HT came along to be the new evil menace bringing some kind of extra after 4th job.
PB came and basically said pineapple you all becoming the Fail of trying to summon the black mage for the first time.

Then we have the fact that some versions have their own "end bosses"

JMS has aufheven being the Cause of all the events in Neo city
MapleSea has krexel for the biggest evil in singapoore
GMS has...*sigh* CWK with the Grandmasters.

Of course some of these are in other versions too, but who cares?

The conclusion is that as mapelstory has so many diferent stories that they can just bring something else from a diferent story and resurect the black mage again.

Actually if Nexon America wanted they could expand the Masteria storyline into some kickass areas and bosses\PQs and epic storyline. They just don't do that for a very wierd reason. The Grandmasters are far from being an endgame boss.

Naricain seems like a better endgame boss for Masteria, not that Nexon will release it any time soon, if ever.

Except Majin Buu blew up planets out of sheer boredom with himself on it without repercussions, and was the most unstoppable villian in all of Dragon Ball. You have a bad guy that can be "killed" only to reform itself a la T1000 and was the only one who was able to resist the Spirit Bomb's attack and even nearly pushed it back if Goku didn't regained his strength. If that's a failed summoning I don't wanna know a successful summoning of Majin Buu.

The final boss is a dc hacker.

If you can last 1 hour of him yelling @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ then you win the game.

They can always make a new storyline/wave of quests after.

Take a big patch or a lot of time to get it all set up though, thats for sure.

While I don't know what will come after the Black Magician, or even if we'll ever fight him; I do know what his motivation will be, "Because I can and it's free."

After the dark mage appears and take chaos around the world and maplers defeated him, it turned out that they just defeated his physical body, not his soul. the next quests for maplers is to find and defeat the multiple souls that is remain to lock him away forever
then after the souls gets sealed away in eternity, one of the mapler decided to train hard, learn ALL the skills and secrets of current jobs, then devide to go evil and release the souls of the dark mage. the 2 fuse and rule over the world ====> intro to 5th job with skills that the evil mapler never knew with the hope of defeating him and the black mage once again......
it could go on forever

After a long and epic battle with the Black Magician the people who defeated him get ready to celebrate when the great demon Naricain appears before them and laughs saying thanks to all the power that was released during their battle with the Black Magician he is back at full power again and if they wish to met him they have to come face in his homeworld of Versal before he wipes out the entire Maple world and then disappears.

While the brave Maplers are facing all the challenges in Versal The Alchemist collects the remains of the mighty Black Magician and starts reviving him and enhancing him with mechanical parts, the Black Magician awakens and kills The Alchemist and then teleports away.

Back in Versal the Maplers after going through 20 stages of pure hell have finally gotten Naricain on his knees and just as they get ready to deal the finishing blow are suddenly stopped by the new Mechanical Black Magician who sends all the Maplers who face Naricain out of Versal and seals the portal along with casting the entire Maple world into darkness.

Thus begins a month long event of the Maple world in chaos were all Maplers 120 and over are asked to help defeat Naricain and the Black Magician by taking various quests from the likes of Cody, the Maple Admin, Grendal, Dances with Balrogs, Dark Lord, Athena and Kyrin to forge great weapons and armors to be able to destroy the threat to the Maple world.

An epic fight the likes of which have never been seen then starts in which 100's and 100's and 100's of Maplers all across the channels begin the final battle against the Black Magician and Naricain. And after many many many hours the battle finally ends, the skies clear up, the Black Magician and Naricain are defeated for good, and the entire Maple world celebrates.

Then MapleStory 2 with new evil foes comes out.

This would be such a great story but, sadly, I think I have to agree with Eosian.

We probably will never see the Black Magician.

At first I thought we would, but Eosian's points are really good and.. well, a MMORPG can't end, we all know it.

But they might as well find a new storyline after the Black Magician's, and let us fight him. I already imagine a epic fight against him.. First, he'd cast a spell on the entire Victoria Island, and all the towns would be swallowed into the darkness. After starting the quest, every time you went to a town of Victoria Island, you'd see everything dark and destroyed, and there'd be no NPCs as they'd have all escaped. The Black Magician's place would be a place covered in darkness, most likely in the skies, like the Dragon Rider PQ. You'd have to go through a lot of hard challenges before even being able to face the Black Mage. The fight would be epic, long and intense.. I really wish Nexon brought this to the game, but I already know they most likely will not.

We are actually supposed to be doing that just that instead of destroying them we are protecting it (the seal stones)

How about the Black Mage, Naricain, and dc hacker at the same time?! xD

We fight Nexon and release Wizet from their shackles.

A few possibilities:
- Black Mage is never fought (as mentioned already)
- After Black Mage is defeated, there will be a repeatable quest where NPC states that he has risen again, (Like Pap or Latanica) therefore Black Mage is defeatable but never killed.
- Some NPC informs you that the Black Mage was only at x/100% of his power, and has risen again and threaten the world once more.
- The Black Mage is only a weak, low-rank member of an organisation and players must face x number of bosses from this same organisation.

Generally the idea is that the story would never end, and therefore creating infinitely new reasons for players to keep playing and the MMO company to keep earning money.

Not all MMOs are like that, eos, some pose another story completely, and some just show that the black magician is just a pawn and there's someone else, and it infinitely works like that. Or they go for the pink bean approach. He just runs away.

Watch their greed will go so high as to make an entring pass and a skill that can actually do damage on the black mage cost over 100,000NX, after that to get out of the place you have to clean their shoes and beg on your knees so they won't ban you for
