It seems Shadow Partner charges in power along with your char, but at a faster rate.

It only occurs with Assassinate when you charge it. Look carefully at: 0:29, 1:29 and 1:42. The Shadow Partner hits are just as strong as the regular hits. There are other instances of this in the video as well.

The reason why it was 30k is because it's close to 32767, which is the maximum value of a signed short (16 bits). Maplestory exclusively uses signed numbers, so for it to be greater than 32767, it would have to be a signed word (32-bits). Since it must be a signed int, that would make the theoretical maximum of 2.1 billion HP, but I bet the ceiling is much lower than that.

Comparing that to the 190 DrK video shows how unbalanced things are. The DrK does about 225k per Crusher and the Hero does about 285k per Brave Slash. Not to mention that Brave Slash is much faster than even Purple Surfboard Crushers...

Did you not see the 300k+ Sacrifices along with Beholder's Revenge doing 200k?

Plus Dark Knights have HB. It's pretty fair for Heroes to be stronger. Dark Knights really aren't far behind based on those videos.

hmmm Not really. All damage from normal mobs in the game was drastically decreased. The only reason you're seeing a Hero (I'm asuming that's the video you're referencing) taking a little over 1k damage is because of the 50% damage reduction from Power Guard and quite possibly the damage reduction from Achilles.

Okay, watched it again. That's really strange. At 0:29, the SP hits are actually 1.5x the regular hits, not the same.

He hits 58406, 62073, 60060 with the regular hits, then follows up with 87609, 93018, 90090 and cancels the final hit.

That drk knight vid was so badass.

Looks like the 1mil damage cap is again too low for Shadowers charging assassinate... . His damage was a lot better though compared to some of the terrible ranges of previous Shadower videos; I estimate roughly a 16k max range on this one.
