Prep for Big Bang in GMS
#1
What will everybody be doing to get ready for this update? For me, pretty much nothing. Leveling supposedly becomes much faster, and now I feel like I'm wasting time if I'm training. I'm pretty much quitting until the Big Bang.

Gathering some equips that will increase in value and trying to get mastery books.

You realize it could be a year or more before we get this?

That seems highly unlikely. It is in every versions best interest to update to MS 2.0. Many players, myself included, understands how dumb it would be to spend NX on 2x exp and the likes when it will be much easier and more rewarding to do so with the update.

On topic. I will be unactive until the updates, doing only event quests and such.

i will just continue playing the game as it is, we still need to get potential scroll, etc, and we don't know what will happen when gMS get the potential system or whatever.

We are still missing a lot of things to even think about the big bang update.

Bandwagoning every other classes.

On a more serious note, I'm keeping all the lvl70+ equips in MTS storage instead of NPCing, probably for Maker purposes later on.

Gonna farm PoTs for money/NX, and look for potential equipment.

This might not be true. If one of the game server manage to pull the string 1st, the rest will follow up in next 1-2 months.

This does not make any sense.
Historically we do not follow that closely, especially for large scale changes that will need an adjustment period and a significant degree of tweaking.

The new classes have been coming to us faster than almost anything else we've ever gotten, but they're relatively easy to do.
This coming before January is unlikely. At an absolute rush they could try for September in time for school to resume, but they've already got a schedule laid for the rest of the year and I don't see them incorporating this yet.

Ya i'm playing KMS and I would like to say that GMS is still much easier to lvl up in even without 2x. You guys might think that because of revamp and the % changed on the exp formula it is easier to lvl, but I'd like to say in no way it is. They changed all the monsters exp, hp, and etc. I think it is actually about the same as it was to lvl up before. Only cool thing is the monsters in KMS drop hella lot of hp and mp pots lol its crazy you don't need to repot like ever.

Edit: This is at low lvls btw, high lvl monsters im unsure of

I've played KMS yesterday and brought up a new magician char, at lv 16ish at the moment. Now... I can't say atm that training is faster than GMS, but it seems a whole hella easier to train than GMS at low levels.

xNIxSader already mentioned that low level mobs drop pots like crazy, and it's true. They drop so frequently, that you'll never freaking run out. xD The quests are also much easier, thanks to the map being changed around, making those monsters easier and faster to go to, as well as the requirements to complete each quest. For example.. remember those kill 99 monster quests? It's now reduced to 33. Some of those quests have surprised me though, like in the last beginner magician quest, I was assigned to kill Fieries. Yes... those things. Thankfully, their stats has been reduced, and I don't think they cast a spell on you anymore, making it way easier to kill. They do quite a bit of damage, but with your endless amount of pots, you have no excuse from dying.

And yeah, let's not forget our natural crit %. IT'S SO PRETTY TO SEE IT AT MY LEVEL. And I'm so in love with my Magic Claw. Early mob attack ftw!

To be honest, I don't think there is really anything you can do beforehand to prepare for the updates to roll to GMS. Heck, if things really roll well, I might actually end up remaking my Priest into a reg build after the update come. I'm serious.

EDIT: Ok, so maybe preparing clean equipment and money beforehand is all that you can do lol. But otherwise, it's all up in the air.

I don't think you can really prepare for Big Bang in GMS except by leveling up. If we truly want to prepare, we'd have to wait for the 10x equip drop rate, the 2x scroll drop rate, and the potential system to be implemented first. Then do whatever we can to have good potential bonuses on equips, because it looks like we're going to need them for Big Bang.

This. I'm leveling a Page for fun right now. Just basically playing the game normally to prepare, I guess. But I disagree with Eos' post about this update being a year to come in GMS. I predict 5-7 months or maybe even less, to be honest. But only time will tell.

Methinks December or January patch cause that's usually when we get the big exciting patches aside from Summer.

Lvl up a few more times; Add a few more points to bullseye, then lvl up more on Anego. When the patch his, I'll just reset all the extra SP into Battleship and continue solo training.

How long the update takes will probably depend on how local versions handle all the World Tour crap that they now have sitting around. GMS has way too many World Tour areas for the change to be easy.
