Why do people always compare blizzard games to warhammer? I see that in WoW all the time.

Probably because it was SUPPOSED to be a Warhammer RTS until the deal fell through. Then Blizzard just changed the race names and added a new coat of paint. The best part is, because of this GamesWorkshop can't use a race (Tyrinids) in a video game or else Blizzard will sue them. Even though Warhammer was out in the 80s.

I have no idea what Warhammer is, but the name makes me think of drawn out tabletop board games and big instruction manuals. I don't think the game would be nearly as popular as a Warhammer RTS.

But yeah. Starcraft would have sucked if it was exactly the way it was but with 40k. I mean, they would OBVIOUSLY included the "instructions" (That make it unfun! Because Warhammer is an unfun game, after all!) that the tabletop version has in the finished PC game.

You mean why do I play Warhammer 40k tabletop? Well, mainly because it's fun. The rules are not as complicated as you may think.

No, I think it's great that you play it. I'm not saying tabletop games suck. What I was trying to say in my first post was that Warhammer and tabletop strategy games are relatively obscure compared to STARCRAFT and probably wouldn't cause nearly as much excitement or sell nearly as well. Sorry for the confusion.

OH. Ok, I get it. Sorry about that. I'm just mad at Blizzard for pulling a plantain move; Thanks to them GW can't make a 40k video game with the Tyranids in it.
