Magic Accuracy
#1
Not really sure where to put this, since all the threads here seem to focus on Criticals.

Every time I attacked something lower than my level, I hit it 100% of the time. Regardless of my 4 LUK and DEX.

Magic Accuracy is 마법 방어, if I am not mistaken.

I'll run around hitting random stuff to see what I can collect. Using Magic Claw.

Fiel's New Mob thread didn't have any avoid value listed, so I assume it's based entirely on the mob's level.

It's related, so I'll make a table of my INT, LUK, DEX, and 마법 방어 values.

If it's a character mainly for testing purposes, try adding 1 luk and try wearing the red headband (or another item with accuracy)

I was wearing a Red Headband for all those numbers. Totally spaced that

Looks like accuracy gear works just fine on mages.

Updated the tables. Hit the same mob after I leveled to see how level affected it and pumped some LUK and INT to see how those affect Acc.

Am I doing it wrong, or does INT add more accuracy than LUK...?

From the table it seems like INT increases accuracy slightly more than 1 per point and LUK seems to increase by 1 per point.

Seems like lukless builds will stand on their own O.o

Yes, INT does add more accuracy than luck. What I am wondering is; how much?

Umm,
Looks like mag acc = lvl + dex + luk + int + gear acc

Oh, doesn't quite work for rows 5 to 8 in the table. Never mind.

When I leveled from 13 to 14, I had no Magic Acc increase.

I'd go for a more conservative:

macc = A*level + B*DEX + C*LUK + D*INT + E*GearAcc

and run some optimization of parameters with experimental results.

0.5 * dex + 1.25 * int + 1 * luk + acc

Rounded to the nearest point, fits everything posted.

I put that, omitting the GearAcc, in some Maricies on my TI83 and got a value of 1 for each variable, A~D. Tried to put GearAcc into it and it's giving me "SINGULAR MAT" error. :|

The only problem I have with a flat addition is the lack of change in Accuracy when I level. I'll go level a few times and see what happens.

Edit: Then Stereo comes out of nowhere and ninjas me. :|

Do we know the Physical Accuracy Formula? If I were a dev, I would swap INT and DEX, remove INT in that formula, and call it done.

Pretty format:
Phys Acc = 1.25 * Dex + LUK + Acc

Added a lv 15 test on snakes.

Edit:
Added 2 lv 17 Test.

Edit2:

With +2 Dex
Without +2 Dex

If Stereo's formula is accurate, shouldn't there be a difference in accuracy between the two SS?

Didn't a couple of the KMST players report missing a lot on lower leveled monsters until they moved many points into LUK? Moving points to LUK would reduce accuracy, so either Nexon has changed the formula since those reports or else the hit rate formula is heavily dependant on LUK (as well as lvl and accuracy), especially at higher levels.

I think it was during the first patch. While I'm only level 19 atm, I have yet to miss on anything under my level.

After over 4 minutes of killing, getting me 80%+, I didn't miss a single attack. I cannot miss on Neckis at level 19 with 125(?) MAcc.

Your calculations are incorrect because 마법방어 is Magic Defense.

마법 명중률 is Magic Accuracy.

*goes to hide in corner and weep*

I Frapped most of it, lemme see what I got.

Looking over the values I'm sure of, Int doesn't do pomegranate, but Dex and Luk seem to factor in.

Updated OP with accurate numbers. Sorry guys. At least we got mDef formula down? xP

Best thing to do would be grab more acc gear, primary look at it sees something along the lines of

1.2*dex + 1*luk + 5.5*acc

Getting a wider variety of acc gear might clear up whether it's actually adding huge amounts of macc.

Try NPC sniper potions and maybe glove dex 100% scrolls

If you look at the Red Headband Screenies I posted earlier, the +1 accuracy only adds 1 MAcc. Where did you get 5.5? o-o

Where do Glove Dex 100% come from?

15 4 66 17 1 27
15 4 69 18 0 22

From your table says otherwise, you lost 5 acc from taking out the headband.

Those were different characters. See: +2 Dex Helmet Screens.
How did that drop happen...?

taking out the headband and gaining 1 luk as well - which should be +1 macc, so the 1 acc is worth around 5.5-6.5 accuracy.

Blessing of the Spirit adds acc too, is this the only char?

Still something wrong with the tables... I think you've got phys. acc listed.

Only ones I see certain are
level dex int luk acc m.acc
13 4 61 4 +1: 83 / level 5 bless
13 4 61 4 +0: 82 / level 5 bless
15 6 69 18 +0: 100 / unknown bless (0-1)
15 4 69 18 +0: 100 / unknown bless

Which
(a) eliminates dex from the formula, or at least indicates it's minor
(b) +8 int +14 luk +2 levels = +22-23 acc (int + luk?)
© 1 acc = 1 phys acc 1 mag acc
