whereas hurricane is 500 attacks per min which means 200 FA on average per min, thats a BIG gap for MM to fill even with pierce & snipe 1v1

200 * 150 = 30,000% extra damage
35 * 150 + Snipe(?) = 5,300% extra damage + 3 million

I don't know how practical that is to cover.

My math says you'd need at least a 19k damage range to be even. Assuming both classes have almost the same range, and all else is equal.

And people called me a fucking idiot for having high FA Rolleyes though with the SP reset scroll, it doesnt matter <_<


As for Pirates battle ship/super transform attack buffs, it may work like energy charge, and automatically apply the highest attack without canceling the lower attack. Hopefully that is the case.

well we can assume hurricane without crit is 130,000%
US without crit is 88*6 * 170% + 5,300% = 95,060%

im really hoping thats enough to give BM the only advantage back that they had on MM

Ultimate Strafe has higher mastery, damage, and critical damage.

Besides, a 19k range to compete with the Snipe damage? Thats not even counting the fact that the Xbow will be stronger and cheaper, and Snipe goes through PDrate which reduces damage by 25% in bossing situations...

Bowmasters got ownt pretty hard here, even with the FA update. Even if Bowmasters are higher up than Marksmen, it won't be by much, and hardly compensates for the massive advantages Marksmen now have over Bowmasters.

im trying really hard to reassure myself that all 2 years i spent on my BM wasn't useless, your posts are really bringing me down T.T

DOes FA have an attack animation like the one we have now? or is it just a magic arrow that flies in with the other arrows? Cause i think that's a real key poiint in whether one should get FA. FA clearly doesn't look the same as the warrior FA, which is only another number without an animation. If the animation is just a flying arrow, then i don't think we should have too much of a worry about the arrows interupting our other skills.

I hope that it's just an extra arrow with no FA animation. That would suck balls.

Only reason i bring this up is the fact that hurricane could be firing fast enough that the animation is moot. But with other skills it could seriously interrupt training ala the one we have now.

Rest assured: They appear to be flying magical arrows coming out of thin air: the distance in bewteen the arrows are constant, so there does not seem to be any extra animation.

You guys keep talking about Single target damage as if it had ever been an issue. MOBBING, GENTLEMEN. Bowmen can't mob.
We are stuck to using arrow bomb still, while Piercing arrow got a huge buff. Vengeance doesnt make up for it since you need to get hit for it to work. I'm not saying nerf Marksmen ( although they deserve it) but they should have given Bowmasters a new mob skill.

That's correct. FA working with Hurricane improves overall BM DPS by about 30%. No idea where that puts them, but certainly a lot higher than previously expected.

._. when I saw this thread I was expecting to see a video of a bm doing hurricane then suddenly stopping to do the final attack pose (which I love lol) then going back to huricaning.

@Combattente: Why are you complaining? It always stood that BMs were better at single target than MMs, and MMs were better mobbers. Why should MMs be better at both?

I'm perfectly fine with BM 1 v 1 being higher that MM, and have never really had a problem with that. I'm glad that at least some of the people who thought the updates were unfair believe this to aid in their cause. Personally I still never really expected the boost that MM got with ultistrafe, and I suppose I'm fine with it, but I'm fine without it too.

One thing I might note is that people basing their damage ranges of MM with snipe based on theoretical max are really overestimating how well it works out in reality. The discrepancy between the server and client that has always been there is still there as far as I know, so the time we get to use it will never be exact. Also, for the mob control (Note: NOT mob killing), the phoenix update to stun is far more useful than people let on as stun does not have the elemental properties that freeze does. Yes, the timer sucks on it and yes, you won't be able to stun enemies that would OKO you safely, but I imagine it will have a great benefit while mowing down the enemies.

Again, I don't wish to see either side nerfed, or my own class buffed, but I don't see why everyone takes the extreme end of things saying either one or the other is screwed by the other's existence. We are all bowman, we used to have united pride as we faced wave after wave of NEXON glitches.

I completely agree; why can't we all be happy for eachother with these new updates? Like before, both classes have different strengths and weaknesses. We really need to focus on eachother's strengths than our own weakness.
