Good we get to keep the only MS forum that actually provide reliable info. But I can't help to wonder why on earth a person with a trillion comments on how sucky the game is take the wheel of a fan forum... Reminds me of Nexon and their lack of love for the product.

When I see things like what CarrionCrow said, I respond, "Put yourself in my shoes. Who would you have chosen instead?"

Also, lack of love for Maplestory is not the same as lack of love for Southperry. Your kids might like baseball, but that doesn't mean you have to like baseball too.

I don't think it matters that Eos doesn't like MapleStory anymore. Some forums are based around the work that the leader does, but Southperry has input from tons of members of the community. Eos' job is merely to hold everyone together and make sure things keep ticking along.

The contract is complete.
Everything is finalized.

It's now time to move on to a new Southperry, one with Eos at the helm. He will be your new site administrator after all of the transfers are complete. He will be able to run the forum as he sees fit, collect donations and ad revenue, as well as moderate and modify the rules and regulations. He will, essentially, stand in my place as far as administration goes.

I will not be leaving. I will remain here but only as an extractor and I will have no moderation duties. I will be around for help with all of the data stuffs you've come to love on SP, so that much will not change. The only thing that's changing is its leader. This will be a significant help to my extraction abilities, as I will be able to spend more time working on scripts and helping you guys out directly rather than dealing with the administration of the site too. In the future, I see a lot more information about patch changes and extractions becoming available. As it stands, I'm already pre-planning a completely new python package that will help me work with the WZ files even better than before - especially with skills. In the months to come, I'm sure you'll see the change.

So, please welcome Eos as the new site administrator!

For some reason the title of this thread made me think of a Funhouse thread and I just.. avoided it.

I am very pleased that Fiel remains with us, whether he was going to perform extractions or not. And as for Eos, he is a man who sure gets promoted quickly; next stop.. the conqueror of the world!
