Anyway, the perma one is a reward from Pigmy, the kMS version of Gach, and the temp is is a part of the Taking Pictures of Tigers event. Shoulder Pads were released around the same time as Dual Blade, but were actually part of the Year of the Tiger events rather than being part of Dual Blade.

That event is as follows. You have two options for the feathers in kMS, you could either trade 5 feathers to get a chance to play Dual Blade on the test server, if I recall, this event was from before they even released Dual Blade in kMST, or you could hold on to them until after the event in order to use them, like the boxes, for a chance at getting a blade. In kMS, the scrolls for blades came from the boxes themselves, and were fairly common.

Oh okay, thanks. That explains why the feathers are use items. Oddly though, the quest in gMS also involves turning in 5 feathers to cassandra, and since tespia is closed, it'll probably relate to some other web event.

Potential system was way after dual bladers. If I remember correctly, major patches went like this in kMS: Golden temple -> dual bladers -> hob king pq -> 7th anniversary -> potential system/chaos bosses.

There's still quite a long way to go, at least two and a half months, especially if hob king pq doesn't come next patch, which it probably won't.

So in 3 months we might have it? That doesn't seem that long to wait imo seems pretty close.. Summer goes by fast, look how fast dual blades is already here and it was a month ago everyone was going gaga over overpowered class

nexon made it an "explorer" class, so it won't be coming with a free slot (even though the damned thing has it's own "pick which character you want" button at the create a charatcer screen and it's own(?) cs inventory)

Well... I'd say it's pretty clear that we won't be getting KMS 7th anniversary stuff here (aside from increased equip/scroll drop rates), so it probably really is two months like you say (assuming Hob King PQ isn't coming out in the same patch as DB). Then again, this is assuming Nexon doesn't have a month of pure event crap/NLC expansion somewhere in between.

I have no interest in creating a Dual Blader, so I guess I'll be getting as many 60% Blade scrolls as possible and see if I can make a crapton of money off the event.

I personally dont care for the theif class but i might make a Dual for their unique plot.
We will see if this will be a permanent class or not soon. Im hoping its not as i feel thats a terrible idea that KMS had for them.

The previous Dark Lord had a student named Jin and a daughter, Sulhee.
Basically what happened was that the friend of the previous Dark Lord, Tristan, requested help to kill Balrog.

Unfortunately, Dark Lord got turned into a monster by Balrog and his student Jin had to kill Dark Lord because he was attacking Kerning City.
The daughter of the previous Dark Lord, Sulhee, saw the dead body of her father brought by Jin.

She thought that Jin framed him and killed him because of his position. (Although, she loved Jin, but she is stupid and thinks that way)
So Jin became the next Dark Lord and Sulhee created a secret dark organization to go against Jin.

Now the rogues are disappearing from Kerning City by Sulhee’s command to recruit them to Dual Blade to fight against Jin.

Ah thats quite interesting. I had a feeling Tristan didnt go alone despite what Manji said.
Perhaps Dark Lord was going toward the rendezvous and felt the ground tremble from Tristan&Balrog.
Thus Manji not seeing him and DL's presence that would help explain the sealing charms on Balrog.
As well as how Tristan slain the demon with his weakened sword.

Edit: Ive noticed how all the job masters have plot significance...except Dances with Balrog.
You have Grendal with Evan and the curse dolls made from his former dark magic. Athena with Aran & Kyrin as well as being the only living person
known to have seen the horror of the Black Mage.And now Dark Lord with Balrog & Dual Blade.
Dances has the Stumpy quest. Not near as epic or plot relevant to the others.
