I've recently really gotten into this one, along with Sankarea. Can't wait for next chapter.

Mirai Nikki 53

So this chapter confirmed quite a bit of theories, but then raises up some new questions. Right now it seems like

Yukiteru is going to kill Yuno and prevent her from becoming god, with his...newfound rage? I still don't 100% get his motives. 1st and 2nd world Yuno are still the same people. 2nd world Yuno was just killed off so 1st world Yuno could learn from her mistakes and try to make things right. Having doubles of herself would probably cause a problem for her in the foreseeable future. Yuno's smart, she knows very well that it's extremely troublesome to keep her other self alive.

Therefore, Yukiteru is mad at Yuno for killing the Yuno he remembered, but at the same time the 1st world Yuno [i]is[i] the same person. Even if she made the promise to 1st world Yukiteru, she's still Gasai Yuno, but one who's experienced tragedy that pulled her over the edge.

Whatever the case, even if I don't exactly agree with his motives, it seems he's 100% willing to kill off Yuno at this point.

So, this chapter was pretty much just a "hey guys, here's some answers if you haven't already guessed by this point" chapter. Not much real content in it, but from what little content we get we can form new ideas of how the story will end.

What if Yukiteru kills Yuno, and learns from her mistake, making sure that when he leaps back in time he doesn't land somewhere that's too late to truly change the outcome in the game. What if he warps to before the start of the game, and kills Deus himself, taking his place then?

It's also possible Yukiteru is already god. He was able to talk to past Yuno while being shown visions of past events. I doubt that was put in there for no reason, or it was simply Yuno dying and still grasping for hope of being saved by Yukki. If this is true, then it shows that Yukki, as god, can in some way alter the past, even if he doesn't exactly know how he did it. It was an extremely small change, but he was able to influence the past somehow. Whether or not world2 Yuno actually wrote "help me" on the wall and really heard Yukki's voice in the current time line is not known though. It's possible these events did actually happened, but are directly linked to what Yukki did in the future, therefore Yukki would not be able to freely alter the past, because all of his alterations are pre-determined, and are set to happen regardless. Comes off as a tad confusing to explain.

If the Yuno of world2 is dead, then that means all the diary owners of that world are dead, aside from Yukki. But then again, world2 Yuno's diary was still working despite her being killed. So, did the diary link world1 Yuno to world2 Yuno's diary? Or are diaries not destroyed if the owner is killed without breaking their diary?

So many factors to take into consideration.

Murumuru's been trying to really manipulate the game, but we don't have a 'why' and a sense of her goal just yet. We're not entirely clear; but some chapters ago, she was trying to prevent Akise from returning to the real world from Deus's world to tell Yukiteru the truth about Yuno and the world. Now, Murumuru's intentionally interferred from just letting Yuno kill Yukiteru. At the rate things were going for Yukiteru after falling into the pit, he would have felt absolutely frightened and wondering what would cause Yuno to act like this. He probably wouldn't have been as ready to try to kill Yuno yet either. Murumuru showing him the events has caused Yukiteru changed his opinion of her after seeing how she changed after having gone through the events of the entire first world, and sees her as someone entirely different from the Yuno he first fell in love with; and seeing her kill that "original" Yuno made him have resolve to kill first world Yuno.

I can't exactly agree with that logic either. Again, first world Yuno is the very same person; only she experienced tragedy that pulled her over the edge. I think Yukiteru's being irrational here with how his response to Yuno coming out of the first world changed. Yukiteru could convince her that there could be some way that they could overcome the inevitable fate of them having to kill each other and thus solving her problems so that they could go on loving each other. Iinstead, Yukiteru responds by running away from her change than confronting it. He believes her change has made her entirely someone different, and feels he has to kill her; but in reality, she's still the same person who loves him but feels trapped to the fate of having to kill him.

Anyways, that aside; one thing is really clear from this chapter though, though. Murumuru's had some sort of secret agenda this entire time; because her actions have totally changed how Yukiteru would have responded to having to face Yuno; and we can't forget how she's been acting these past chapters. Right now, it seems Yukiteru's playing right into her hands.

As for thoughts on an ending:

I would have liked to see Yukiteru make a speech to Yuno to convince her that killing him wouldn't be right nor would him killing her; and then we get some sort of TRUE LOVE ending where they try to overcome the game together against or with the help of Murumuru. Sadly, we won't see that now; unless something miraculous happens. I wouldn't like to see Yuno being molded into the "final boss" he has to kill, because really, I feel that Yuno isn't really who he needs to face. Yuno really isn't as bad a person as Yukiteru is making her out to be; but rather, he's being manipulated by Murumuru. I'd just hate to see the series end on that note.

Actually, on the note of Yuno pregnancy, I'd like to see a development where Batman Yuki finally has Yuno cornered; and then she threatens him with the fact that he may have a child in her. Then Yukki turns yandere, and then when he stabs Yuno in the stomach, he'll comment: "Just as I thought. It's empty." When Yukki becomes God, he'll spend the rest of his life on a boat carrying her head.

Zazie confirmed for major boss character in the plot. Didn't Akamatsu say something about her significance in an interview once? I remember vaguely hearing about it, but not sure what it was entirely suggesting at other than the fact that she'd play a major role in the story later.

Just started reading Nurarihyon no Mago. I watched the anime and decided to read the manga as well. Holy wtp is this thing long. It's easily as long as Mahou Sensei Negima or Hayate no Gotoku. It's very very good though.

Franken Fran 34: The censored out reference to the 18-meter Gundam that was up in Odaiba last summer had me laughing for a while.

Franken Fran 40: Tiny Veronica and the thing Fran created out of all the bodies were my highlights of the chapter, haha. Will the next chapter continue this story? I don't believe we've ever seen a story that's continued for over a chapter (except Multiplication, but they felt like two separate stories), but I'd like to see more of this sister soon.

The highlight of this chapter is Rayleigh swimming all the way to Amazon Lily. This guy is just a walking badass moreso than Garp.

Sankarea 8 - ZOMG. Talk about a turn of mother fking events. If she goes to that house, she won't have her hydrangea (spelling?) leaves with her. Probably gonna pass out next chapter me thinks.
