Big Foot Poison Intended?
#21
Harrisonized Wrote:I meant that they would still be vulnerable to the effects that can immobilize it, but the effects that do % based damage would heal it.

Why else would you see blue numbers when you ID/FD it? That's most likely the glitch they were talking about. They probably programmed it to heal with % based attacks (like ID and FD), but it didn't work and still allowed ID/FD/Poison to kill it.

I don't think they would make it so that it would HEAL them... but that it would damage them for a more reasonable amount of damage... like 20k/hit?

It would be great if it was easier to KB though D:

Retalion Wrote:You're "stfu" in Yellonde right (looking at the yellonde forums and what you were posting there). Would leeching off these mages and hermits be considered abuse too? There's just so much that's under interpretation here. I agree that misting every map, ccing and then ccing back to reap the rewards is overboard. However, we've never had such a fast boss before and perhaps what some are saying is correct: They wanted to make it not so hard to kill and whatnot.

Just throwing it out there, but are those who stand on the window/sofa and just attack anego from behind the counter because it wont go past it considered abusing a glitch too?

anego isnt bugged.. it was meant to be like that. it is a range boss after all.
and.. i dont really get what you are saying... 2m exp in 30 sec doesnt look broken to u?

The fact that you think that Im that pathetic waste of space is insulting. But I can see why you think I am him

Though if you took 5 seconds to look, Ive been one of the most outspoken people against people abusing Big Foot....so why would I post a pic of myself leeching a SWing Hermit?

Sorry for the assumption then. Just that when you posted the ss and it said "Stfu" at the bottom, I just assumed you were him (as afterall, how else would you have gotten the screenshot). It never made sense that you seemed so against the BF leeching, yet you show a ss of "stfu", leading me to assume it was yourself. Something seemed wrong with that picture and now I know what, heh. Usually when people post a screenshot of someone else, they'd say it wasnt themselves and whatnot but meh.

New notice in Scania telling you not to do it.

Or face DIRE consequences.

The picture was from SW. The thread its self was dripping with sarcasm as its title was "Very Pro Hermit" and it showed him abusing BF

Khaini got the same thing, guessing GMs are actually going to ban for it now..hopefully.

so hypothetically my cousin could now get banned for webbing just 1 more bigfoot?

Or a poison mist by one F/P mage could get them banned too?

It would be "Abusing" the glitch, the way the GMs are talking, so ya I guess so.
#30
Which means if you're killing a bigfoot, and a F/P mage comes in and steals it, report them.
#31
If i were there with him is it still considered "glitching"? cause if i party him it's like were' killing it right?

I'm just a bit paranoid right now xD

He got falsely banned before during the hackers' era (we all know how that was) so another ban would not be helpful for him Tongue

Well, it's considered as abusing if you're doing it on purpose.

Just don't do it anymore. I think they'll try to take the ones who kill more than one bigfoot with the glitch.

This:
Dusk Wrote:Poison doesn't heal Bigfoot. Disregard the numbers. Poison does what, 2.5% of the monster's hp per second? That's 800,000 damage per hit. Apparently poison damage isn't read in the same way as other skills. It's probably stored as a 16 bit integer and rolls over whatever the cap for the damage is several times.

16-bit would mean damage/tick can be anywhere between -32768 and +32767, and the displayed amount wraps around if it goes beyond that range. Hence why 3x Venom sometimes gives blue healing numbers; it does more than 32767 damage, so it wraps around to negative.

Same applies to abnormally high percentage mist damage.

Lol why did I get screamed at when I suggested that this was intended, this conversation is pretty interesting now =P Its more compelling to consider the glitch the way you guys are explaining it, I didn't think that maybe the glitch is something we hadn't thought about.
#35
Well before it was a glitch; kind of makes one wonder why Nexon doesn't explain the glitch to be exploited.

Sometimes the best thing for the community is a bit in the past like taking bugs and turning them into features.
I'm just wondering if any of the people that run the MS side of things hasn't played an old school sidescroller or listened to the show Retrogaming Radio. Hell; if I was able to afford the trip, I'd challenge some of the Nexon crew to try visiting the Classic Gaming Expo and getting some programming advice to forward to the Korean operations.
#36
I believe that the poison was intended, however, not to the extent of 40 second bigfoot solos by mid 7x f/ps.

If so then mist should wrap to -19200 or so, I haven't seen someone poisoning it ingame so I can't check that.

I'd be pretty happy if they're more specific about what counts as abusing the glitch, I don't want to start attacking a Bigfoot and then get banned cause some F/P came in and killed the rest in 20 second.
#38
Stereo, if you're soloing it or w/e and killing it like most other bosses, you should be fine.

I think they mean abusing the glitch where a FP/NL goes channel after channel finding as many BFs as they can and mass killing them. They see the exp jump, and go after em. :/

Yep. Poison damage is a monster buff/debuff rather than actual damage.
#40
They made bigfoot like the way he is, just to give us f/p a "headstart" ;]
The whole bigfoot abuse notice was suppose to mean "You guys have had enough exp for now"
