New Formulas Simplified
#21
Justin Wrote:Though these increases seem rather insane, the HP of most monsters increased on quite a large scale as well...I'm wondering how this pairs up against the HP increase... Though with the new exp curve, I suppose it doesn't really matter either way. Thanks again Fiel and everyone else who's contributed a lot towards this cheat sheet.

Consider that the monsters levels also changed.

1.70 * (3080) * (1.27) = 6650

Current is around 4550 a_@

hmm correct me if im wrong, but with the new formulas i will have around 6.8k range. Throw TT at 260% means i will be doing like 17k dmg per star? Max?

It appears that way, Playa. It is too bad that the base masteries are all different, since that means BMs and MMs need max expertise to have the same mastery as mages (75%Wink [Then again, the +30 atk more than makes up for this fact ^_^]

SS: http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll172...9-3193.png
Range is 1,849~3,193 under old formula. Attack is 109. Hermit is only 112.

New max damage range: 2.00*(4 * 584 + 157) * (109 / 100) = ~5,434
New min damage range: ~5,434 * 0.65 = ~3,532

At Assassins: What is this I don't even.
You forgot to count his stars, too.
x_X @ NL's after this.

Lemme go figure my Wk's new range..
3791~5417 @ level 120 if I somehow can equip my NRW being 1 DEX short, lol.

Wow. They're definitely getting nerfed before the balancing finalizes. It's one thing for slower melee classes to have higher damage ranges, but 8.5k, which translates into 22,100 Triple Throw stars BEFORE crits (which will be ~40-41k crits, and this is without Onyx Apples) is absolute madness. ~90-180k Triple Throw stars without the aid of Onyx Apples = what.

Crit only boosts a 22k TT to ~26k, if crit works the way we think it does.

I read base crit damage is 120%~150% of your range. Assassins can boost that with Critical Mastery to 130%~160%. Then SE adds 30% crit damage, which I assume is to both spectrums, with a final crit damage of 160%~190%.

But look at other classes like BMS , i think with the new formulas and everything they might do around 25k an arrow without crit. It kinda evens out T_T... sadly i think we are still near the bottom in ranged classes, soloing...but now that SE is nerfed idk...

First of all, is crit damage additive or multiplicative? If it's additive, that damage bonus will be MUCH lower.

Second of all, those skills raise "Criticaldamagemin." The 150% may not increase at all.

Dusk Wrote:According to some of the numbers in the other thread, Evans may have 78% mastery when Mastery is maxed. Not sure how that happens.

Evans have Magic Mastery. 78% Mastery would imply level 5 or 6 Magic Mastery.

Also, I can't believe you idiots are still going on about how without the huge boost from SE, NLs are going to be worthless. Guess who else loses that huge boost in damage from SE? BOW MASTERS AND MARKSMEN.

Oh, okay. I'm completely unfamiliar with Evan skills.

And yeah, the whole point of the massive TT buff is to make up for how much crit was nerfed. So BMs and MMs need an even bigger buff to keep up.

If you post your total stats+Weapon attack, I'll actually go through the effort of showing you where you'll be in relation to a ranger/crossbowman similarly equipped (in the sense of the same amount of succeed scrolls).

IllegallySane Wrote:Hang on, gonna do Stereo's range now. http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/592/maple4304.jpg
Total attack is: 171

Max range: 1.27*(4 * 796 + 96) * (171 / 100) = ~7,123
Min range: ~7,123 * 0.7 = ~4,986

Compared to her SSed range of 2663~6697.

Hmm, kinda out of date picture.

Current stats: 826 str 98 dex 174 atk.
2809-7069 -> 5262-7517

So mainly a huge minimum damage increase... why do 2h swords have a higher multiplier and faster speed? Sad

And my NL...
Current stats: 648 luk 140 dex 122 atk.
2000-3100 (approx) -> 4333-6666

Seriously... my NL's range is gonna be almost as high as my Paladin, even if I don't continue upgrading it. 8|

Sure why not Big Grin

lv 142 NL (lv 10 MW)
168 dex
685 luk
153 atk bonus equips
10% crit ring.

Just wondering is sairs better the BMs or NLs?
Is wild hunter better then BMs?

[EDITED]
My God. I just did a calculation for my Chief Bandit...

Lv 75
STR 18
DEX 98
INT 17
LUK 335

Current range: 828~1427

As for WA, I'll be using 83 + 12 + 3 + 3 = 101 for the calculations. My Chief Bandit currently has 108 WA in total. The extra 7 is from event equipment.

Maximum = 1.30*(4 * 335 + 18 + 98) * (101 / 100) = 1911.728 = 1912 (approx.)
Minimum = 1911.728 * 70% = 1338.2096 = 1338 (approx.)

New range: 1338~1912

Good Lord. I'll be hitting 1381s per hit of SB on average...

I REALLY want to know how ridiculous my friend's damage range will be. She can currently hit up to a 8000 crit with a single Lucky 7 hit and she's only Lv75 (Oh, and she uses Ilbis).
