I've been out of touch with the SP.net crowd for some time, a few months to be sure. I've also been out of touch with MS during that time period, partly due to technical issues and partly because the real world decided to pour a bucket of cold water on me, figuratively and literally. But I decided I can't just let go of this community since there's no other bunch of rascals just like y'allz You'll see me hang out at the arts and social forums rather than the main forums.
Now I'm back, and I'd like to say hello again!
A few notes for anyone who still cares or wondered what happened to me.
First, I'm probably not coming back to MS itself. Good times were had, and I had a blast while we were all active. The community was great too, probably the best I've seen out of any game, I won't deny any of that. But in the greater scheme of things, I had to make a choice and quit for the typical reasons (and some atypical) mostly related to the gameplay itself; you can use your imagination for that. I apologize to everyone who counted on my continual presence in MS, and I still feel sorry today about having left without saying much. For those of you who still play, I hope your friends treat you well, and/or you still have fun with what you do!
Second, as an appropriate follow-up, my "services" are discontinued. It kinda broke my heart actually, as MS was a great source of computer programming motivation, and now I have little to nothing for a continuing, evolving programming project. However, it doesn't change the fact that I've already decided not to play MS anymore, and given time, I simply cannot give you the awesome stuff that Fiel and Eosian and others can. The code however is still intact; it feels unethical to throw away countless hours of sweat and blood for something so beautiful.
Third, I'm now playing League of Legends, or LoL for short. I'm sure some of you have seen flash ads for it at least once on the interwebs. I didn't pick it up randomly, but rather my real life friends got me into it. In addition, it's a thinking man's PvP game that takes skill and some reflexes, which is just perfect for my tastes. It also provides a fresh new perspective on programming, development processes (the company employees are really open to the community, other than the security details and "in progress" stuff), and logic on what constitutes the best interest for the audience. So it'll suffice to say that I'll be sticking around that game for quite a while. I don't want this to sound like an ad for LoL, so I'll just say that my IGN for LoL is the same for MS. (And I apologize if I seem to have an elitist attitude in that game; I'm a perfectionist kind of guy that's straight to the fact, and I also headdesk at myself if I do something really stupid.)
