I hate the series because I followed most of it until Sectionals. The only episode I watched in the second part of the first season was the finale. I still understand everything that happened in the last episode. The reason why I hate Glee is because the storyline just seems to be a composite of several cheap money making tricks thrown together with a chorus line at the end. False pregnancy, heated rivalries, gay kid, crippled kid who doesn't want to be pitied, and asian girl with speech problems. I think that some of the songs came out really well. For example, I liked their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody. But I don't like the story and how it hardly progresses. The story always seems to have its characters remain in stock form. Sure, they discover new relationships and all that shiz. But at the end of the day, they are still the gay kid, crippled kid who doesn't want to be pitied, innocent shmuck, preggy cheerleader, and tag-along cheerleaders. The show has a decent treat at the end of each episode, but the substance is lacking. I ended Sectionals expected Sue to be fired. I watched the finale and saw that she ended up getting re-hired. In addition, I wasn't surprised that Sue voted for the kids in the finale, especially with how the discussion was turning out. Sue has already shown that she has a soft side when she allowed a student with down syndrome to be on the cheerleading team. The characters don't really develop or really change. If you notice at the end of the finale, that club-girl still hasn't quite grasped the sentimental value of forming friendships. Glee's storyline is just a bottle filled with stereotypical television drama that has been processed to bring about big success.
