Funhouse is nothing like 4chan. People needs to stop comparing the two. Though the majority of the memes are gathered from 4chan as a source, it doesn't make Funhouse = 4chan. That and the rules here are too strict to compare it to 4chan.
4chan = /b/ , /h/ , etc SP = Funhouse Massive difference. PS: Sarcasm on the internet doesn't work really well anyways, unless you enunciate words. That's like me reading Swerve's posts, most of the time, I'm going to assume he's being really cynical and sarcastic, partly because I'm used to how he posts. Most people, I assume you're being serious unless it's in the Funhouse.

As long as the forum isn't just completely shut down then it doesn't matter to me who runs it.
Do the extractions HAVE to stay for the site to continue running? It seems like you won't let the site continue unless the extractions continue. I'm sure a lot of us wouldn't care if there were extractions or not.

I check out SP for the extractions and if there is anything interesting that is just coming out in KMS that I can look forward to in GMS. Of course, I also post if needed. ;P I'm not that great at coming up with good posts however so I usually end up browsing and/or lurking.

Big sigh of relief. I have to trust Fiel that the new administrator/owner not only has the skills but the heart for the job because that makes SP the great site it is. Fiel will still be sorely missed.

Why would having a lower extraction-lurker-rate from people who don't even register on sp.net be bad for sp.net? I don't see why attracting random lurkers would be beneficial for this forum... :o This forum + better patch discussions then at nexon/sleepy/basil forums is good enough for the majority of the registered casual visitors here... Really it is!

Ad Rev from Basil and SW lurkers is probably the only reason SP doesn't go bankrupt.

(Sorry to use you as an example MeteorSummoner) how many people are like her and come to SP just because/for the extractions? that you can go anywhere else for the discussions about MS is why we need the extractions, because whether or not theyre a better discussion to be had, theres other places to get opinions from than this forum. SP, to the best of my knowledge, offers the more in-depth analysis of patch data and information about changes in the game from said extractions. its what drew and continues to draw people into the site. whether or not they join and stick around for the rest of the forum isnt whats important, its that SP can draw in an audience and continues to do so is what makes them the main draw to the site, and its very core.

I think what Fiel meant is that when an extraction comes out, traffics to the site increase greatly, and those traffics are non-regular members.
What does that mean? Well, it means that doesnt matter which forum those user belongs to, they're relying on the quality and accuracy of sp.net's extractions because after all, sp.net is known to be (and is) the number 1 extraction site for MS. |
