Looking for input on the following anime adaptations of VNs: Fate/Stay Night, Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, and Chaos;Head.
I've seen some episodes of Fate/Stay Night while I was on vacation, but was absolutely clueless with what was going on because of how difficult it is to follow most anime on TV or pick it up in the middle of the series. Not sure if it was that decent or not.

I like Phantom, it was very good. Chaos;Head on the other hand, I did not like. The first few episodes were ok but the rest of it sucked.

Haven't seen Phantom or Chaos;head's adaptations. Fate/Stay night wasn't a very good adaptation, and they managed to pick one of the weaker routes for it anyway. Bit of a biased opinion from having read the VN first. I haven't seen the movie though, which picked the route I would most want to see adapted.

Some people really hates Gundam Wing, but that's what I started out with as having seen it on Toonami. There are a lot of fanboys and fangirls for it too. People have criticized it of being overly girly and feminine as opposed to Double-O 80 or any of the other ones, but when Seed came out, hahahaha.. Seed's the one getting laughed at.
You could also try:
G-Gundam
This one has a relatively good story, and with some significant plot-twists that you might enjoy as well. It's also very unique as opposed to the other Gundam series.

The order doesn't really matter but I would say that Mobile Suit Gundam or Gundam Wing are good starting places. Also, I highly recommend that you watch The 08th MS Team, it is something that you have to watch.

I have to second this. It may not be as compelling and tear-jerking as the game, but it'll still leave an impact.

I was counting the days when someone would mention Bleach. Now starting countdown for when Rurouni Kenshin and Inu Yasha. I'd recommend Inu Yasha but I figure most people know about it already.

interesting show for a plotless show. its not really a show where you can sit and grind though being plotless and all. it's very similar to watching House but with vengeful drama rather than medical drama. you have a lead character calling the shots and a team of three helpers investigating and digging into the client's past for the delicious ++drama.

Golden Boy | Comedy | Ecchi, Adventure | 6
I've never laughed harder at anything than I have at Golden Boy. It's only six episodes (basically the length of a movie) and it's well worth watching. A little bit inappropriate but if you do watch it, watch the dub. You will not regret it.

Well, I'm not sure if anyone here has even heard of this anime, but I highly recommend Kemono no Souja Erin.
It's about a young girl who learns how to communicate with the most powerful beasts in the world, and ends up getting pulled into a civil war by people who want to take advantage of her relationship with the beasts. It's a very emotional anime with a lot of drama, but surprisingly there's no romance at all.
Fun Fact: I stumbled onto the anime while searching for an episode of Bleach when I clicked some random link on the page accidentally, but it's my all time favorite anime now!
