Who here actually still plays Maplestory?
#21
I quit after half my guild got hacked by some hacking spree that got out of control. After reading some of these threads on SP and SW, it doesn't look like things have changed at all. I just sit and wonder if Nexon pays any attention to their customers at all. My friend got hacked on WoW, and Blizzard was already restoring his stuff in between the time he sent in his ticket and decided to give them a call. It just amazes me how little Nexon cares about so many things. I heard they made mastery books cost NX? the hell is with that? Class balance is terrible. The game looks pretty and that's all it has going for it.

I don't even remember the info to any of my characters. I deleted the file with all my info in it a long time ago. If I didn't delete I would probably still log on to check out Time Temple (I've never seen it) but I don't care enough anyways.

Stopped playing when Hammers and stuff started coming out. I tried going back once or twice, never happened. Don't intend on doing that anymore, also, now I'm trying to sell my Night Lord account for actual cash. -shrugs-

I only log on to put things into the MTS so I can get my monthly shop permit in DFO.

I can't play Maple in the week because of school, but I still enjoy the game during the weekend. Thanks to lessons from Kalovale, I'm gonna start Bigfooting for my guild members now! I'm still several levels below the cracking point (most Southperricans, including those that quit, were at least 15x+, and that's definitely a cracking point in MapleStory) so I haven't got fed up yet. So I'm still having my fun in Maple, besides the current opinion of this website's majority.

I held up against the 15-second lag spike intervals for the patch that Evans came out, then when the Anniversary event came through, I just dropped dead. The lag from every 15 seconds went up to 1.5 seconds (up from 1 second), which was bad to worst already, but the real coup de grâce was that there were 209384234 annoying light bulb quests, and two quests give you items that you cannot drop, which annoyed me beyond measure, since it was either two items in etc to clog up or have an annoying light bulb. Have not installed Maple since I upgraded from Windows Vista to Windows 7 (though I wish I could upgrade even further to XP), so yeah...

Since then I have become a GM elsewhere, and started to fight HT (Something that is impossible due to Nexon not even knowing who/what/how about cave campers). After having fun with that, I usually go on battle.net with Warcraft III to backstab on ladder games (And garner much interesting comments). I might go on maple to check if the 15-second lag is gone next patch, but it probably will not be, so I most likely poof again.

Quit for around 6 months and just came back to mess around. I feel that the time I put into this game can be better used in other games, so I probably won't do any hardcore training.

Its boring now. I don't know what changed, but I'm definitely one of the ones affected by the 15 second lag spikes, and ruined most of it for me. A lot of my friends quit. I usually come back every now and then and try to do some training, but grinding is just really boring, and I usually have to spend about $2 to be convinced to press some buttons for 4 hours straight. X_X

I would like to try some of the new classes coming out, though. Hopefully the game is in better shape by then. Hopefully.

I still find it enjoyable. Even the Cake Vs. Pie event.

Quit about a year ago, moved on from the game. It started losing its flair when the whole MTS came, the hammers, stuff like that. Call me a stickler for the old stuff, but the most fun I had in MS was before all the hammers/MTS/leeching (which wasn't as prevalent atleast). Back when partying was the whole experience of the game. Not just a party by someone sitting on a rope levelling. Either way, on to bigger and better things.

Quit half a year ago for good, come here to tell everyone how good it feels.

LiquidSwing Wrote:This man has hit the nail on the head.

Also beware, all of the aforementioned nexon butthurt SouthPerry users will attempt to drain all the fun out of MS for you. If you try and argue that you still have fun with the game, they will disregard that and say you've never played a real MMO before.

Fun facts Biggrin

No, MMOs are just terrible in general. Add a pomegranatety company like Nexon to the mix, and you have the unadulterated horror that is MapleStory.

stopped playing for now. stopped totally due to school (first year of college is killer). I tried coming back, but the guild was pretty much dead, so no real point of playing anymore. Starcraft 2 caught my attention instead =P

I'll be back after they stop doing fail events and crap content.

I quit as soon as they started forcing people to play by the website. NGM doesnt work on my computer, I logged a ticket, and Nexon gave me the bull s'hitiest response ever.

Same. I mean, I enjoy playing Team Fortress 2 and all, but I don't think I can spend my entire summer playing it all the time. I do need a little variation from time to time.

Havent played for over 3 months. So long as my MM remains banned I wont play another game run or associated with Nexon ever again.

Although I enjoy the new stories that come on, it's not enough to keep me playing. I enjoy reading and seeing the new quests and areas, but I'm not bothered to bare with the community or train for an unnecessary amount of time to gain a few stats.

Hell, the only reason I still stay here is reading the funhouse or seeing people express their opinions on pokemon and anime.

I still play, but am getting to the point where I play less and less eash day.. The only thing holding me on is my buddylist and guild :f6: Nexon seems to do one good thing and then turn around and do 5 horrid things that slap the players in the face.

Ever since school came back, I've had no time. I do stop by every once and a while when I can just to say hi to old friends......That's about it though.
