Who here actually still plays Maplestory?

I think the time is ripe again to have another one of these threads.

As far as I'm aware, Southperry is where former Maplestory players go to rant on Nexon. So I'm expecting a lot of people to choose the 2nd option. However, I still play.

Quit temporarily after Nexon banned 3 of my accounts permanently for hacking. Even though I haven't logged into 2 of them for a couple weeks.

I still play, though not as actively due to school. I have to admit it isn't as fun as it once was.

#3. I'm f'ucking sick of the s'hitty ass company that runs the game. F'ucking Nexon Japan takes at LEAST 6 months to fix ANY bug in the game that isn't as drastic as Brandish disconnecting everyone when used or something that doesn't involve them losing cash shop money. CWKPQ Bosses have been instant banning people for a year now and they still haven't fixed it. Adventurer rings have been broken for months since their release and they still haven't been fixed. Etc.


I'm f'ucking sick of their sh'itty ass management of the game and I hate the direction Nexon Korea is taking with the game. I quit and now I'm waiting on new games like Dragon Ball Online. :S

I'm staying current to the trend that I follow, play for about 2 months, don't play for like 3.

I only log on to say hi to my buddylist/guild. Why play Maple when there's much better games out there?

I quit since the 15 secs lag spikes. Even after buying a high power computer and paying more for internet speed cant seem to fix it. I wouldn't really care about the spike if all my characters weren't fast paced. Just spending my time lurking and waiting for vindictus to come out.

Also beware, all of the aforementioned nexon butthurt SouthPerry users will attempt to drain all the fun out of MS for you. If you try and argue that you still have fun with the game, they will disregard that and say you've never played a real MMO before.

Fun facts

I only log in to say hi, quests here and there, and for 2X EXP events whenever I'm able to attend the time slot.

I simply feel that I can accomplish more by pumping in the same amount of time I used to pump into MapleStory. It doesn't mean I dislike it, but I feel that there is something I can be doing that is far more worth my time.

I still get on about once a week, for my friend.

I quit this game shortly after Christmas '09, and don't see myself playing it again.

It's a piece of garbage game with a garbage userbase and garbage idea of "fun", all revolving around a money scheme designed specifically to take advantage of prepubescents with a lack of self-control. There is no game in existence that is as unrewarding and pointless and Maple Story, and it took me roughly five years to realize it, accept it, and move on. While I could write up a storm about how terrible this game is, I don't necessarily regret playing it. During those 172 levels on my Shadower, I made some friends that I would, to this day, still consider to be my "best" of friends.

In February, I began MTSing all of my shit, starting with the most expensive and working my way down until I had absolutely nothing left. I'm almost done. :3

I'm undecided on the matter, though I haven't had any motivation to play at all. I haven't played since May 3rd, and that was only because I wanted the glasses on my Evan.

To an extent I've quit. For the most part, all of my best e-friends(who I actually consider to be among the best of my friends) are on Skype, and they quit relatively quickly.

I quit, but not of my own volition. My maple (gMS only. kMS seems to be fine) suddenly doesn't play higher than 15 frames/second whenever I do anything, so it has become very much not fun. In spite of Nexon's horrible customer service, and in spite of kMS being intent on ruining the game as much as possible, I still find it very fun and visually appealing. But, because of how many friends quit, there's nothing left there for me now, even if I fix my frame issues. Goodbye to good times, Maple.

I just became "active" again after being inactive for a few months because of school. I mostly came back because I knew I'd be hella bored all summer. I do agree that MapleStory has gone downhill a bit entirely due to Nexon. And quite frankly, they don't care if the more dedicated players quit, because as long as they're pulling in new people faster than they're loosing the old ones, it's good business for them. I still have fun with what there is now, but as grinding for one level takes longer, I'm starting to lose interest. We'll see how long it is before I take a break, or just give it all up.

I got tired of Nexon and their bullshit. No intentions to ever touch their games again. Maybe CA, I was on it yesterday but quit after 20 minutes when I saw rank limited Game Modes. ._.

Summer is here, so I can play more seriously now.
With the new classes in kMS, I'll probably binge for about a month or two and then slowly stop again.
