Pokémon Black and White versions
Dusk Wrote:Zoroark is not a legendary, Jirachi is Psychic/Steel, Lugia is Psychic/Flying, and Rotom isn't legendary.

Zoroark is going to be like Lucario, I think. Random ass bipedal Pokemon that the producers think looks cool enough to use as the mascot for the generation.

I listed him because his status is not known at this time. Rotom is rare enough to warrant Pseudo-legend status. I'll mod the rest later.

I believe Rotom has the legendary music when you try and fight it... But, it's legendary in my eyes.

Zakrom reminds me too much of the mascot-legends from 4th gen. Similar design.

Serebii confirmed that the legendaries are part Dragon.

LET ME HIT MY HEAD ON SOMETHING. GAHHHHHHH. MORE DRAGONS? WHY COULDN'T YOU LET RESHIRAM BE NORMAL/GHOST? IS THAT TOO HARD?

I don't have a problem with more Dragons, but I'd like some more non-[pseudo]legendary dragons to work with instead of this endless Lati@s/Garchomp/Salamence/Rayquaza crap. Flygon and Altaria are among my favorite Pokemon, though, and Kingdra is my favorite Pokemon.

I'm still more interested on what they're doing to core mechanics on B/W. D/P/P introduce the new and improved Physical/Special mechanic, making it contact base, rather then type base. Much better in my opinion.

What I like is this so far:

"The first thing to note is the aesthetic changes to the battles. In battles in Black & White, the Pokémon are no longer just static sprites on a static background. Instead, everything is in motion. The front and backsprites of each Pokémon move at all times, some even changing movement based on certain scenarios.
In addition to the moving sprites, the camera is also adaptive during battle. With many attacks, when you attack and some attacks when you're attacked, the camera will zoom out and show your entire Pokémon doing that attack. This feature is seamless and the battles go faster than the ones in the past generation."
(Information from Serebii.)

On top of that, the camera seems more dynamic in this one:

That's all the same town. Funny thing though... if you hex edit the 4th gen / 2nd gen remake camera a bit... you get the same thing...

I don't mind the style of everything being 3D except the characters & pokemon... perhaps I prefer it that way.

What I hate is that the trainer's arms are JUST HANGING THERE AWKWARDLY LIKE DOLL HANDS OR SOMETHING. Look at that. Who the fuck stands with their arms extended like that? It looks horrible. Why did anyone think that looked acceptable?

That's a bit of an odd place to put a fur patch/spike/whatever that is.

Reshiram has a feather plantain =/

As for originality, I know nothing is ever 100% original anymore, but I couldn't help but think of MetalEtemon when I saw Zekrom.

What? Smugleaf crosses its arms when it attacks? That's awesome!

For some reason, the way the HP bars drain and then turn white on a KO annoys me.

It seems like it... but I hope they fix the issue with the HP Bar.

The issue I'm refering to, is how is counts down every HP lost, one at a time. When you fight a pokemon who is near max HP value (900~999), and you one shot it (such as a blissy), it will take 3~ minutes before the bar is done. Very annoying.

I love how it also uses the camera now for certain attacks, more innervated feel.

Is the trainer actually standing? It looks more like he's running. It looks as if he's moving forward, indicated by the positioning of one of his feet looking like it's lifting it. However, I could be misinterpretting what's going on in the picture.

If he really is standing, then I'd feel the same way about this.

He's standing. There's another screenshot of him just standing still in front of (what's assumed to be) his house in the hometown of the region. He's facing the camera, with his arms hanging there in the same stupid way. Too lazy to dig up the screenshot right now.

Off topic, but just wanted to point out that the max possible HP is 714.
