Hey look, HT can be solo'd now!

If anyone remember console rpq games, bosses only take a few minutes. Like Pokemon, Golden Sun and Super Mario RPG; I don't know why maple story made their bosses take 4 hours to kill. Zak on takes 20 minutes now so that's reasonable but PB's 7bil hp doesn't look like it's gonna be a 1-hour boss even for experienced runners.

Those games also have a much shorter gameplay life. They're meant for quick fun. Maple is srs bsns.

We killed Horned Tail in 34 minutes two days ago. Synergy & Friends group, Scania server.

I would only see a need for this to come to GMS if apples were taken out, but if it never came here then it's not really a necessity. Big guilds should have something to throw out their billioins of mesos into the economy, and apples work quite nicely for spreading out the money. I think things are fine in GMS the way they are, and that we should get the unnerfed version of pink bean when we finally do get pink bean.

Agreed.

Bosses in this game take way too much time just killing, let alone if you include organization. I'm all for less time spent on boss fights. Standing there holding a key and doing it over and over and over and over is just bleh. Also less time spent there encourages going more because they don't take so pineappleing long. x.x;

Totally agree >_>. I dont mind how long zakum takes sometimes, because i go 4 times a week. Then again, It does get tedious and at times boring. Even pap is extremely boring now, i solo most of the time, but i enjoy bringing along a party...or two for fun.

I'd rather not see this implented in game. If you see howmuch time people take to "grind" and level up on higher levels it's fairly balanced. The time we take now to take down bosses. For the strongest attacker its even better exp/hr then regular training.

Who said you can't make the exp lower? If it keeps the same ratio, it'd make no difference. Actually, you'd get 3x drops if you do 3 runs one after the other, taking the same time.

I don't know if my I made myself clear but heres my point. I (personally) think that if you decrease the duration of a boss fight its unbalanced compared to the rest of the game where you take relatively long to level up with regular grinding.

Shortening boss runs would greatly take away from the Maplestory bossing experience, IMO. Part of what makes a Horntail run fun is enduring the full hour inside the cave, and progressing through each part while trying to contribute and survive. Being able to breeze through the boss in merely 20 minutes makes it seem completely less rewarding.

If Nexon wants to make the major bosses available to more people, they should just open up more channels. If they want more lower levels to access bosses, then they should just make more, weaker bosses instead of nerfing existing ones. There's no point in trying to fix something that's not broken, ergo, boss stats should be left as they are.

If you're going to complain about the length of boss runs in MS, Consider the Pandemonium Virtue boss in Final Fantasy XI. I has a grand total of 20 forms, and takes approximately 18 hours to beat. Compared to 20 minute Zak runs, 1 hour Horntail, and the 3-4 hours predicted necessary for Pink Been it seems kind of extreme, right? And yet players still attempt and manage to beat it. I personally think that 18 hours is way over the top, but sitting down for 4 hours with a handful of peers and just bossing away is my idea of fun in MS. And that's what a game's supposed to be, right? Fun.

They are doing this because kms has almost no attack pots, much less 140 w.attack and 1000 m.atk pots like we do.

The hell? That's stupidly insane. Zak didn't get nerfed though. His arms ranged from 35m ~ 25m, some having 27 and such. All arms having 33m is actually an upgrade.

Seriously though, that means a horntail run takes what, 20-30 minutes? Less even. That's just dumb. Anyone could start HT runs that way. Tongue

To let everyone have fun, instead of having all the zomg lvl200 elite 2x Exp / Gachapon cheaters rule this game with retarded HT Pendant and Egg sellings?
